Surah An-Naba'Makiha40In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. What is it that they are questioning each other about?! 1[Is it] about the Great Tiding, 2the one about which they differ? 3No indeed! Soon they will know! 4No indeed! Soon they will know for once again! 5Did We not make the earth a resting place? 6and the mountains stakes? 7and create you in pairs? 8and make your sleep for rest? 9and make the night a covering? 10and make the day for livelihood? 11and build above you the seven mighty heavens? 12and make [the sun for] a radiant lamp? 13and send down water pouring from the rain-clouds, 14that We may bring forth with it grains and plants, 15and luxuriant gardens? 16Indeed the Day of Judgement is the tryst, 17the day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will come in groups, 18and the sky will be opened and become gates, 19and the mountains will be set moving and become a mirage. 20Indeed hell is in ambush, 21a resort for the rebels, 22to reside therein for ages, 23tasting in it neither any coolness nor drink, 24except boiling water and pus, 25a fitting requital. 26Indeed they did not expect any reckoning, 27and they denied Our signs mendaciously, 28and We have figured everything in a Book. 29So [now] taste! We shall increase you in nothing but punishment! 30Indeed a triumph awaits the Godwary: 31gardens and vineyards, 32and buxom maidens of a like age, 33and brimming cups. 34Therein they shall hear neither vain talk nor lies 35—a reward and a sufficing bounty from your Lord, 36the All-beneficent, the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. They will not be able to address Him 37on the day when the Spirit and the angels stand in an array: none shall speak except someone who is permitted by the All-beneficent and says what is rightful. 38That day is true for certain. So let anyone who wishes take resort with his Lord. 39Indeed We have warned you of a punishment near at hand—the day when a person will observe what his hands have sent ahead and the faithless one will say, ‘I wish I were dust!’ 40Surah An-Nazi'atMakiha46In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By those [angels] who wrest [the soul] violently, 1by those who draw [it] out gently, 2by those who swim smoothly, 3by those who, racing, take the lead, 4by those who direct the affairs [of creatures]: 5the day when the Quaker quakes 6and is followed by the Successor, 7hearts will be trembling on that day, 8bearing a humbled look. 9They will say, ‘Are we being returned to our earlier state? 10What, even after we have been decayed bones?!’ 11They will say, ‘This is, then, a ruinous return!’ 12Yet it will be only a single shout, 13and behold, they will be awake. 14Did you receive the story of Moses, 15when his Lord called out to him in the holy valley of Tuwa? 16[And said,] ‘Go to Pharaoh, for indeed he has rebelled, 17and say, ‘‘Would you purify yourself? 18I will guide you to your Lord, that you may fear [Him]?’’ ’ 19Then he showed him the greatest sign. 20But he denied, and disobeyed. 21Then he turned back, walking swiftly, 22and gathered [the people] and proclaimed, 23saying, ‘I am your exalted lord!’ 24So Allah seized him with the punishment of this life and the Hereafter. 25There is indeed a moral in that for someone who fears! 26Is your creation more prodigious or that of the heaven He has built? 27He raised its vault and fashioned it, 28and darkened its night, and brought forth its forenoon. 29Thereafter He spread out the earth, 30brought forth from it its water and pastures, 31setting firm the mountains, 32as a [place of] sustenance for you and your livestock. 33When the Greatest Catastrophe befalls 34—the day when man will remember his endeavours 35and hell is brought into view for those who can see— 36as for him who has been rebellious 37and preferred the life of this world, 38his refuge will indeed be hell. 39But as for him who is awed to stand before his Lord and restrains his soul from [following] desires, 40his refuge will indeed be paradise. 41They ask you concerning the Hour, “When will it set in, 42considering your frequent mention of it?” 43Its outcome is with your Lord. 44You are only a warner for those who are afraid it. 45The day they see it, it shall be as if they had not stayed [in the world] except for an evening or forenoon. 46Surah AbasaMakiha42In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.He frowned and turned away 1when the blind man approached him. 2And how do you know, maybe he would purify himself, 3or take admonition, and the admonition would benefit him! 4But as for someone who is wealthy, 5you attend to him, 6though you are not liable if he does not purify himself. 7But as for someone who comes hurrying to you, 8while he fears [Allah], 9you are neglectful of him. 10No indeed! These [verses of the Quran ] are a reminder 11—so let anyone who wishes remember— 12in honoured scriptures, 13exalted and purified, 14in the hands of envoys, 15noble and pious. 16Perish man! How ungrateful is he! 17From what did He create him? 18He created him from a drop of [seminal] fluid; then proportioned him. 19Then He made the way easy for him; 20then He made him die and buried him; 21and then, when He wished, resurrected him. 22No indeed! He has not yet carried out what He has commanded him. 23Let man consider his food: 24We pour down plenteous water [from the sky], 25then We split the earth making fissures in it 26and make the grain grow in it, 27as well as vines and vegetables, 28olives and date palms, 29and densely-planted gardens, 30fruits and pastures, 31as a sustenance for you and your livestock. 32So when the deafening Cry comes— 33the day when a man will evade his brother, 34his mother and his father, 35his spouse and his sons— 36each of them will have a task to keep him preoccupied on that day. 37Some faces will be bright on that day, 38laughing and joyous, 39and some faces on that day will be covered with dust, 40overcast with gloom. 41It is they who are the faithless, the vicious. 42Surah At-TakwirMakiha29In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.When the sun is wound up, 1when the stars scatter, 2when the mountains are set moving, 3when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4when the wild beasts are mustered, 5when the seas are set afire, 6when the souls are assorted, 7when the girl buried-alive will be asked 8for what sin she was killed. 9When the records [of deeds] are unfolded, 10when the sky is stripped off, 11when hell is set ablaze, 12when paradise is brought near, 13then a soul shall know what it has readied [for itself]. 14So I swear by the stars that return, 15the comets, 16by the night as it approaches, 17by the dawn as it breathes: 18it is indeed the speech of a noble apostle, 19powerful and eminent with the Lord of the Throne, 20one who is obeyed and is trustworthy as well. 21Your companion is not crazy: 22certainly he saw him on the manifest horizon, 23and he is not miserly concerning the Unseen. 24And it is not the speech of an outcast Satan. 25So where are you going? 26It is just a reminder for all the nations, 27for those of you who wish to walk straight; 28but you will not wish unless it is wished by Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. 29Surah Al-InfitarMakiha19In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. When the sky is rent apart, 1when the stars are scattered, 2when the seas are merged, 3when the graves are overturned, 4then a soul shall know what it has sent ahead and left behind. 5O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord, 6who created you and proportioned you, and gave you an upright nature, 7and composed you in any form that He wished? 8No! Indeed, you deny the Retribution. 9Indeed, there are over you watchers, 10noble writers, 11who know whatever you do. 12Indeed the pious shall be amid bliss, 13and indeed the vicious shall be in hell, 14entering it on the Day of Retribution, 15and they shall not be absent from it. 16And what will show you what is the Day of Retribution? 17Again, what will show you what is the Day of Retribution? 18It is a day when no soul will be of any avail to another soul and all command that day will belong to Allah. 19Surah Al-MutaffifinMakiha36In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Woe to the defrauders, who use short measures, 1who, when they measure [a commodity bought] from the people, take the full measure, 2but diminish when they measure or weigh for them. 3Do they not know that they will be resurrected 4on a tremendous day, 5a day when mankind will stand before the Lord of all the worlds? 6Indeed, the record of the vicious is in Sijjeen. 7And what will show you what is Sijjeen? 8It is a written record. 9Woe to the deniers on that day, 10who deny the Day of Retribution; 11and none denies it except every sinful transgressor. 12When Our signs are recited to him, he says, ‘Myths of the ancients!’ 13No, that is not the case! Rather, their hearts have been sullied by what they have been earning. 14Indeed, they will be alienated from their Lord on that day. 15Afterward they will enter hell, 16then told, ‘This is what you used to deny!’ 17Indeed, the record of the pious is in Illeeyun. 18And what will show you what is Illeeyun? 19It is a written record, 20witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]. 21The pious shall be amid bliss, 22observing, [as they recline] on couches. 23You will perceive in their faces the freshness of bliss. 24They will be served with a sealed pure wine, 25whose seal is musk—for such let the viers vie— 26and whose seasoning is from Tasneem, 27a spring where those brought near [to Allah] drink. 28Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the faithful, 29and when they passed them by they would wink at each other, 30and when they returned to their folks they would return amused, 31and when they saw them they would say, ‘Indeed those are the astray!’ 32Though they were not sent to watch over them. 33So today the faithful will laugh at the faithless, 34observing from their couches: 35Have the faithless been requited for what they used to do? 36Surah Al-InshiqaqMakiha25In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.When the sky is split open 1and gives ear to its Lord as it should. 2When the earth is spread out 3and throws out what is in it, emptying itself, 4and gives ear to its Lord as it should. 5O man! You are labouring toward your Lord laboriously, and you will encounter Him. 6Then, as for him who is given his record [of deeds] in his right hand, 7he will receive an easy reckoning, 8and he will return to his folks joyfully. 9But as for him who is given his record from behind his back, 10he will pray for annihilation 11and enter the Blaze. 12Indeed he used to be joyful among his folk, 13and he thought that he would never return. 14Yes, his Lord had been watching him. 15I swear by the evening glow, 16by the night and what it is fraught with, 17by the moon when it blooms full: 18you will surely fare from stage to stage. 19What is the matter with them that they will not believe, 20and will not prostrate when the Quran is recited to them? 21Indeed, the faithless impugn [the Apostle], 22and Allah knows best what they keep to themselves. 23So inform them of a painful punishment, 24excepting such as are faithful and do righteous deeds: for them there will be an everlasting reward. 25Surah Al-BurujMakiha22In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By the heaven with its Houses, 1by the Promised Day, 2by the Witness and the Witnessed: 3perish the People of the Ditch! 4The fire abounding in fuel, 5above which they sat 6as they were themselves witnesses to what they did to the faithful. 7They were vindictive towards them only because they had faith in Allah, the All-mighty and the All-laudable, 8to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is witness to all things. 9Indeed those who persecute the faithful, men and women, and do not repent thereafter, there is the punishment of hell for them and the punishment of burning. 10Indeed those who have faith and do righteous deeds—for them will be gardens with streams running in them. That is the supreme success. 11Indeed your Lord’s striking is severe. 12It is indeed He who originates and brings back, 13and He is the All-forgiving, the All-affectionate, 14Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15doer of what He desires. 16Did you receive the story of the hosts 17of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18Indeed the faithless dwell in denial, 19and Allah besieges them from all around. 20Indeed it is a glorious Quran, 21in a preserved tablet. 22Surah At-TariqMakiha17In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By the heaven, and by the nightly visitor 1(and what will show you what is the nightly visitor? 2It is the brilliant star): 3there is a guard over every soul. 4So let man consider from what he was created. 5He was created from an effusing fluid 6which issues from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7Indeed He is able to bring him back [after death], 8on the day when the secrets are examined 9and he shall have neither power nor helper. 10By the resurgent heaven, 11and by the furrowed earth: 12it is indeed a conclusive discourse, 13and not a jest. 14Indeed they are devising a stratagem, 15and I [too] am devising a plan. 16So respite the faithless; give them a gentle respite. 17Surah Al-A'laMakiha19In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. Celebrate the Name of your Lord, the Most Exalted, 1who created and proportioned, 2who determined and guided, 3who brought forth the pasture 4and then turned it into a black scum. 5We shall have you recite [the Quran], then you will not forget [any of it] 6except what Allah may wish. Indeed, He knows the open and what is hidden. 7And We shall ease you into facility. 8So admonish, for admonition is indeed beneficial: 9he who fears [God] will take admonition, 10and the most wretched will shun it 11—he who will enter the Great Fire, 12then he will neither live in it, nor die. 13‘Felicitous is he who purifies himself, 14celebrates the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15But you prefer the life of this world, 16while the Hereafter is better and more lasting.’ 17This is indeed in the former scriptures, 18the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19Surah Al-GhashiyaMakiha26In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Did you receive the account of the Enveloper? 1Some faces on that day will be humbled, 2wrought-up and weary: 3they will enter a scorching fire 4and made to drink from a boiling spring. 5They will have no food except cactus, 6neither nourishing, nor of avail against hunger. 7Some faces on that day will be joyous, 8pleased with their endeavour, 9in a lofty garden, 10where they will not hear any vain talk. 11In it is a flowing spring 12and raised couches, 13with goblets set, 14and cushions laid out in an array, 15and carpets spread out. 16Do they not observe the camel, [to see] how it has been created? 17and the sky, how it has been raised? 18and the mountains, how they have been set? 19and the earth, how it has been surfaced? 20So admonish—for you are only an admonisher, 21and not a taskmaster over them— 22except him who turns back and disbelieves. 23Him Allah will punish with the greatest punishment. 24Indeed to Us will be their return. 25Then, indeed, their reckoning will lie with Us. 26Surah Al-FajrMakiha30In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By the Dawn, 1by the ten nights, 2by the Even and the Odd, 3by the night when it departs! 4Is there an oath in that for one possessing intellect? 5Have you not regarded how your Lord dealt with [the people of] ‘Ad, 6[and] Iram, [the city] of the pillars, 7the like of which was not created among cities, 8and [the people of] Thamud, who hollowed out the rocks in the valley, 9and Pharaoh, the impaler 10—those who rebelled [against Allah] in their cities 11and caused much corruption in them, 12so your Lord poured on them lashes of punishment. 13Indeed your Lord is in ambush. 14As for man, whenever his Lord tests him, and grants him honour, and blesses him, he says, ‘My Lord has honoured me.’ 15But when He tests him and tightens for him his provision, he says, ‘My Lord has humiliated me.’ 16No indeed! No, you do not honour the orphan, 17and do not urge the feeding of the needy. 18You eat the inheritance rapaciously, 19and love wealth with much fondness. 20No indeed! When the earth is levelled to a plain, 21and your Lord [’s edict] arrives with the angels in ranks, 22the day when hell is brought [near], man will take admonition on that day, but what will that admonition avail him? 23He will say, ‘Alas, had I sent ahead for my life [in the Hereafter]!’ 24On that day none shall punish as He punishes, 25and none shall bind as He binds. 26‘O soul at peace! 27Return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing! 28Then enter among My servants, 29and enter My paradise!’ 30Surah Al-BaladMakiha20In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.I swear by this town, 1as you reside in this town; 2[and] by the father and him whom he begot: 3certainly We created man in travail. 4Does he suppose that no one will ever have power over him? 5He says, ‘I have squandered immense wealth.’ 6Does he suppose that no one sees him? 7Have We not made for him two eyes, 8a tongue, and two lips, 9and shown him the two paths [of good and evil]? 10Yet he has not embarked upon the uphill task. 11And what will show you what is the uphill task? 12[It is] the freeing of a slave, 13or feeding, during days of [general] starvation, 14an orphan among relatives 15or a needy man in desolation, 16while being one of those who have faith and enjoin one another to patience, and enjoin one another to compassion. 17They are the People of the Right Hand. 18But those who defy Our signs, they are the People of the Left Hand. 19A closed Fire will be [imposed] upon them. 20Surah Ash-ShamsMakiha15In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By the sun and her forenoon splendour, 1by the moon when he follows her, 2by the day when it reveals her, 3by the night when it covers her, 4by the sky and Him who built it, 5by the earth and Him who spread it, 6by the soul and Him who fashioned it, 7and inspired it with [discernment between] its virtues and vices: 8one who purifies it is felicitous, 9and one who betrays it fails. 10The [people of] Thamud denied [Allah’s signs] out of their rebellion, 11when the most wretched of them rose up. 12The apostle of Allah had told them, ‘This is Allah’s she-camel, let her drink!’ 13But they impugned him and hamstrung her. So their Lord took them unawares by night because of their sin, and levelled it. 14And He does not fear its outcome. 15Surah Al-LailMakiha21In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By the night when it envelops, 1by the day when it brightens, 2by Him who created the male and the female: 3your endeavours are indeed diverse. 4As for him who gives and is Godwary 5and confirms the best promise, 6We will surely ease him toward facility. 7But as for him, who is stingy and self-complacent, 8and denies the best promise, 9We will surely ease him toward hardship. 10His wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11Indeed guidance rests with Us, 12and to Us belong the world and the Hereafter. 13So I warn you of a blazing fire, 14which none shall enter except the most wretched [of persons] 15—he who impugns [God’s prophets] and turns his back. 16The Godwary [person] will be spared of that 17—he who gives his wealth to purify himself 18and does not expect any reward from anyone, 19but seek only the pleasure of their Lord, the Most Exalted, 20and, surely, soon they will be well-pleased. 21Surah Ad-DhuhaMakiha11In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By the morning brightness, 1and by the night when it is calm! 2Your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3and the Hereafter shall be better for you than the world. 4Soon your Lord will give you [that with which] you will be pleased. 5Did He not find you an orphan, and shelter you? 6Did He not find you astray, and guide you? 7Did He not find you needy, and enrich you? 8So, as for the orphan, do not oppress him; 9and as for the beggar, do not chide him; 10and as for your Lord’s blessing, proclaim it! 11Surah Ash-SharhMakiha8In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. Did We not open your breast for you 1and relieve you of your burden 2which [almost] broke your back? 3Did We not exalt your name? 4Indeed ease accompanies hardship. 5Indeed ease accompanies hardship. 6So when you are done, appoint, 7and supplicate your Lord. 8Surah At-TinMakiha8In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By the fig and the olive, 1by Mount Sinai, 2and by this secure town: 3We certainly created man in the best of forms; 4then We relegated him to the lowest of the low, 5except those who have faith and do righteous deeds. There will be an everlasting reward for them. 6So what makes you deny the Retribution? 7Is not Allah the fairest of all judges? 8Surah Al-AlaqMakiha19In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Read in the Name of your Lord who created; 1created man from a clinging mass. 2Read, and your Lord is the most generous, 3who taught by the pen, 4taught man what he did not know. 5Indeed man becomes rebellious 6when he considers himself without need. 7Indeed to your Lord is the return. 8Tell me, he who forbids 9a servant when he prays, 10tell me, should he be on [true] guidance, 11or bid [others] to Godwariness, 12tell me, should he call him a liar and turn away 13—does he not know that Allah sees [him]? 14No indeed! If he does not cease, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15a lying, sinful forelock! 16Then let him call out his gang! 17We [too] shall call the keepers of hell. 18No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate and draw near [to Allah]! 19Surah Al-QadrMakiha5In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Indeed We sent it down on the Night of Ordainment. 1And what will show you what is the Night of Ordainment? 2The Night of Ordainment is better than a thousand months. 3In it the angels and the Spirit descend, by the leave of their Lord, with every command. 4It is peaceful until the rising of the dawn. 5Surah Al-BayyinaMadineh8In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.The faithless from among the People of the Book and the polytheists were not set apart [from the community of the faithful] until the proof had come to them: 1an apostle from Allah reciting impeccable scriptures, 2wherein are upright writings. 3Those who were given the Book did not divide except after the proof had come to them. 4Though they were not commanded except to worship Allah, dedicating their faith to Him as men of pure faith, and to maintain the prayer and pay the zakat. That is the upright religion. 5Indeed the faithless from among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of hell, to remain in it [forever]. It is they who are the worst of creatures. 6Indeed those who have faith and do righteous deeds—it is they who are the best of creatures. 7Their reward, near their Lord, is the Gardens of Eden, with streams running in them, to remain in them forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for those who fear their Lord. 8Surah Az-ZalzalaMadineh8In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.When the earth is rocked with a terrible quake 1and discharges its burdens, 2and man says, ‘What is the matter with her?’ 3On that day she will relate her chronicles 4for her Lord will have inspired her. 5On that day, mankind will issue forth in various groups to be shown their deeds. 6So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, 7and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it. 8Surah Al-AdiyatMakiha11In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By the snorting chargers, 1by the strikers of sparks [with their hoofs], 2by the raiders at dawn, 3raising therein a trail of dust, 4and cleaving therein a host! 5Indeed man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6and indeed he is [himself] witness to that! 7And indeed he is an avid lover of wealth. 8Does he not know, when what is [buried] in the graves is turned over, 9and what is [concealed] in the breasts is divulged, 10on that day their Lord will be well informed about them [and their deeds]? 11Surah Al-Qari'aMakiha11In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.The Catastrophe! 1What is the Catastrophe? 2What will show you what is the Catastrophe? 3[It is] the day when mankind will be like scattered moths 4and the mountains like carded wool. 5As for him, whose deeds weigh heavy in the scales, 6he will have a pleasing life. 7But as for him, whose deeds weigh light in the scales, 8his home will be the Abyss. 9And what will show you what it is? 10It is a scorching fire! 11Surah At-TakathurMakiha8In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Rivalry [and vainglory] distracted you 1until you visited [even] the graves. 2No indeed, soon you will know! 3No indeed, soon you will know for yet another time! 4Indeed, were you to know with certain knowledge, 5you would have surely seen hell [in this very life]. 6Afterward you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned concerning the Blessing. 8Surah Al-AsrMakiha3In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.By Time! 1Man is indeed in loss, 2except those who have faith and do righteous deeds, and enjoin one another to [follow] the truth, and enjoin one another to patience. 3Surah Al-HumazaMakiha9In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Woe to every scandal-monger and slanderer, 1who amasses wealth and counts it over. 2He supposes his wealth will make him immortal! 3No indeed! He will surely be cast into the Crusher. 4And what will show you what is the Crusher? 5[It is] the fire of Allah, set ablaze, 6which will overspread the hearts. 7Indeed it will close in upon them 8in outstretched columns. 9Surah Al-FilMakiha5In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Have you not regarded how your Lord dealt with the army of the elephants? 1Did He not make their stratagems go awry, 2and send against them flocks of birds 3pelting them with stones of shale, 4thus making them like chewed-up straw? 5Surah QurayshMakiha4In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.[In gratitude] for solidarity among the Quraysh, 1their solidarity during winter and summer journeys, 2let them worship the Lord of this House, 3who has fed them [and saved them] from hunger, and secured them from fear. 4Surah Al-Ma'unMakiha7In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Did you see him who denies the Retribution? 1That is the one, who drives away the orphan, 2and does not urge the feeding of the needy. 3Woe to those who pray 4but are heedless of their prayers 5—who show off 6but deny aid. 7Surah Al-KawtharMakiha3In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Indeed We have given you abundance. 1So pray to your Lord, and sacrifice [the sacrificial camel]. 2Indeed it is your enemy who is without posterity. 3Surah Al-KafirunMakiha6In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Say, ‘O faithless ones! 1I do not worship what you worship, 2nor do you worship what I worship; 3nor will I worship what you have worshipped, 4nor will you worship what I worship. 5To you your religion, and to me my religion.’ 6Surah An-NasrMadineh3In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.When Allah’s help comes with victory, 1and you see the people entering Allah’s religion in throngs, 2celebrate the praise of your Lord, and plead to Him for forgiveness. Indeed, He is all-clement. 3Surah Al-MasadMakiha5In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1Neither his wealth availed him, nor what he had earned. 2Soon he will enter the blazing fire, 3and his wife [too], the firewood carrier, 4with a rope of palm fibre around her neck. 5Surah Al-IkhlasMakiha4In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Say, ‘He is Allah, the One. 1Allah is the All-embracing. 2He neither begat, nor was begotten, 3nor has He any equal.’ 4Surah Al-FalaqMakiha5In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Say, ‘I seek the protection of the Lord of the daybreak 1from the evil of what He has created, 2and from the evil of the dark night when it falls, 3and from the evil of the witches, who blow on knots, 4and from the evil of the envious one when he envies.’ 5Surah An-NasMakiha6In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Say, ‘I seek the protection of the Lord of humans, 1Sovereign of humans, 2God of humans, 3from the evil of the sneaky tempter 4who puts temptations into the breasts of humans, 5from among the jinn and humans.’ 6
