سُورَةُ الْحآٰقَّةِالمكية52بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖیمِٱَلْحآٰقَّةُ۝١۝مَا الْحآٰقَّةُ۝٢۝وَمآٰ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا الْحآٰقَّةُ۝٣۝كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعاٰدٌ بِالْقاٰرِعَةِ۝٤۝فَاَمّاٰ ثَمُودُ فَاُهْلِكُوا بِالطّاٰغِیَةِ۝٥۝وَاَمّاٰ عاٰدٌ فَاُهْلِكُوا بِرٖیحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عاٰتِیَةٍ۝٦۝سَخَّرَهاٰ عَلَیْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَیاٰلٍ وَثَماٰنِیَةَ اَیّاٰمٍ حُسُومًاۖ فَتَرَی الْقَوْمَ فٖیهاٰ صَرْعٰی كَاَنَّهُمْ اَعْجاٰزُ نَخْلٍ خاٰوِیَةٍ۝٧۝فَهَلْ تَرٰی لَهُمْ مِنْ باٰقِیَةٍ۝٨۝وَجآٰءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَنْ قَبْلَهُۥ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكاٰتُ بِالْخاٰطِئَةِ۝٩۝فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَهُمْ اَخْذَةً راٰبِیَةً۝١٠۝اِنّاٰ لَمّاٰ طَغَا الْمآٰءُ حَمَلْناٰكُمْ فِی الْجاٰرِیَةِ۝١١۝لِنَجْعَلَهاٰ لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِیَهآٰ اُذُنٌ واٰعِیَةٌ۝١٢۝فَاِذاٰ نُفِخَ فِی الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ واٰحِدَةٌ۝١٣۝وَحُمِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ وَالْجِباٰلُ فَدُكَّتاٰ دَكَّةً واٰحِدَةً۝١٤۝فَیَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْواٰقِعَةُ۝١٥۝وَانْشَقَّتِ السَّمآٰءُ فَهِیَ یَوْمَئِذٍ واٰهِیَةٌ۝١٦۝وَالْمَلَكُ عَلٰٓی اَرْجآٰئِهاٰۚ وَیَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ یَوْمَئِذٍ ثَماٰنِیَةٌ۝١٧۝یَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لاٰ تَخْفٰی مِنْكُمْ خاٰفِیَةٌ۝١٨۝فَاَمّاٰ مَنْ اُوتِیَ كِتاٰبَهُۥ بِیَمٖینِهٖ فَیَقُولُ هآٰؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتاٰبِیَهْ۝١٩۝اِنّٖی ظَنَنْتُ اَنّٖی مُلاٰقٍ حِساٰبِیَهْ۝٢٠۝فَهُوَ فٖی عٖیشَةٍ راٰضِیَةٍ۝٢١۝فٖی جَنَّةٍ عاٰلِیَةٍ۝٢٢۝قُطُوفُهاٰ داٰنِیَةٌ۝٢٣۝كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنٖیٓئًا بِمآٰ اَسْلَفْتُمْ فِی الْاَیّاٰمِ الْخاٰلِیَةِ۝٢٤۝وَاَمّاٰ مَنْ اُوتِیَ كِتاٰبَهُۥ بِشِماٰلِهٖ فَیَقُولُ یاٰ لَیْتَنٖی لَمْ اُوتَ كِتاٰبِیَهْ۝٢٥۝وَلَمْ اَدْرِ ماٰ حِساٰبِیَهْ۝٢٦۝یاٰ لَیْتَهاٰ كاٰنَتِ الْقاٰضِیَةَ۝٢٧۝مآٰ اَغْنٰی عَنّٖی ماٰلِیَهْࣝ۝٢٨۝هَلَكَ عَنّٖی سُلْطاٰنِیَهْ۝٢٩۝خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ۝٣٠۝ثُمَّ الْجَحٖیمَ صَلُّوهُ۝٣١۝ثُمَّ فٖی سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهاٰ سَبْعُونَ ذِراٰعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ۝٣٢۝اِنَّهُۥ كاٰنَ لاٰ یُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ الْعَظٖیمِ۝٣٣۝وَلاٰ یَحُضُّ عَلٰی طَعاٰمِ الْمِسْكٖینِ۝٣٤۝فَلَیْسَ لَهُ الْیَوْمَ هٰهُناٰ حَمٖیمٌ۝٣٥۝وَلاٰ طَعاٰمٌ اِلّاٰ مِنْ غِسْلٖینٍ۝٣٦۝لاٰ یَأْكُلُهُۥٓ اِلَّا الْخاٰطِئُونَ۝٣٧۝فَلآٰ اُقْسِمُ بِماٰ تُبْصِرُونَ۝٣٨۝وَماٰ لاٰ تُبْصِرُونَ۝٣٩۝اِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرٖیمٍ۝٤٠۝وَماٰ هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شاٰعِرٍۚ قَلٖیلًا ماٰ تُؤْمِنُونَ۝٤١۝وَلاٰ بِقَوْلِ كاٰهِنٍۚ قَلٖیلًا ماٰ تَذَكَّرُونَ۝٤٢۝تَنْزٖیلٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعاٰلَمٖینَ۝٤٣۝وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَیْناٰ بَعْضَ الْاَقاٰوٖیلِ۝٤٤۝لَاَخَذْناٰ مِنْهُ بِالْیَمٖینِ۝٤٥۝ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْناٰ مِنْهُ الْوَتٖینَ۝٤٦۝فَماٰ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ اَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حاٰجِزٖینَ۝٤٧۝وَاِنَّهُۥ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقٖینَ۝٤٨۝وَاِنّاٰ لَنَعْلَمُ اَنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُكَذِّبٖینَ۝٤٩۝وَاِنَّهُۥ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَی الْكاٰفِرٖینَ۝٥٠۝وَاِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ الْیَقٖینِ۝٥١۝فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظٖیمِ۝٥٢۝سُورَةُ الْمَعاٰرِجِالمكية44بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖیمِسَاَلَ سآٰئِلٌ بِعَذاٰبٍ واٰقِعٍ۝١۝لِلْكاٰفِرٖینَ لَیْسَ لَهُۥ داٰفِعٌ۝٢۝مِنَ اللّٰهِ ذِی الْمَعاٰرِجِ۝٣۝تَعْرُجُ الْمَلآٰئِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ اِلَیْهِ فٖی یَوْمٍ كاٰنَ مِقْداٰرُهُۥ خَمْسٖینَ اَلْفَ سَنَةٍ۝٤۝فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمٖیلًا۝٥۝اِنَّهُمْ یَرَوْنَهُۥ بَعٖیدًا۝٦۝وَنَرٰىهُ قَرٖیبًا۝٧۝یَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمآٰءُ كَالْمُهْلِ۝٨۝وَتَكُونُ الْجِباٰلُ كَالْعِهْنِ۝٩۝وَلاٰ یَسْئَلُ حَمٖیمٌ حَمٖیمًا۝١٠۝یُبَصَّرُونَهُمْۚ یَوَدُّ الْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ یَفْتَدٖی مِنْ عَذاٰبِ یَوْمِئِذٍ بِبَنٖیهِ۝١١۝وَصاٰحِبَتِهٖ وَاَخٖیهِ۝١٢۝وَفَصٖیلَتِهِ الَّتٖی تُؤْوٖیهِ۝١٣۝وَمَنْ فِی الْاَرْضِ جَمٖیعًا ثُمَّ یُنْجٖیهِ۝١٤۝كَلّآٰۖ اِنَّهاٰ لَظٰی۝١٥۝نَزّاٰعَةً لِلشَّوٰی۝١٦۝تَدْعُوا مَنْ اَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلّٰی۝١٧۝وَجَمَعَ فَاَوْعٰٓی۝١٨۝اِنَّ الْاِنْساٰنَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا۝١٩۝اِذاٰ مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزُوعًا۝٢٠۝وَاِذاٰ مَسَّهُ الْخَیْرُ مَنُوعًا۝٢١۝اِلَّا الْمُصَلّٖینَ۝٢٢۝ٱَلَّذٖینَ هُمْ عَلٰی صَلاٰتِهِمْ دآٰئِمُونَ۝٢٣۝وَالَّذٖینَ فٖیٓ اَمْواٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ مَعْلُومٌ۝٢٤۝لِلسّآٰئِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ۝٢٥۝وَالَّذٖینَ یُصَدِّقُونَ بِیَوْمِ الدّٖینِ۝٢٦۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ مِنْ عَذاٰبِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ۝٢٧۝اِنَّ عَذاٰبَ رَبِّهِمْ غَیْرُ مَأْمُونٍ۝٢٨۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حاٰفِظُونَ۝٢٩۝اِلّاٰ عَلٰٓی اَزْواٰجِهِمْ اَوْ ماٰ مَلَكَتْ اَیْماٰنُهُمْ فَاِنَّهُمْ غَیْرُ مَلُومٖینَ۝٣٠۝فَمَنِ ابْتَغٰی وَرآٰءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْعاٰدُونَ۝٣١۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ لِاَماٰناٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ راٰعُونَ۝٣٢۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ بِشَهاٰداٰتِهِمْ قآٰئِمُونَ۝٣٣۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ عَلٰی صَلاٰتِهِمْ یُحاٰفِظُونَ۝٣٤۝اُولٰٓئِكَ فٖی جَنّاٰتٍ مُكْرَمُونَ۝٣٥۝فَماٰلِ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعٖینَ۝٣٦۝عَنِ الْیَمٖینِ وَعَنِ الشِّماٰلِ عِزٖینَ۝٣٧۝اَیَطْمَعُ كُلُّ امْرِیٍٔ مِنْهُمْ اَنْ یُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعٖیمٍ۝٣٨۝كَلّآٰۖ اِنّاٰ خَلَقْناٰهُمْ مِمّاٰ یَعْلَمُونَ۝٣٩۝فَلآٰ اُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشاٰرِقِ وَالْمَغاٰرِبِ اِنّاٰ لَقاٰدِرُونَ۝٤٠۝عَلٰٓی اَنْ نُبَدِّلَ خَیْرًا مِنْهُمْ وَماٰ نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقٖینَ۝٤١۝فَذَرْهُمْ یَخُوضُوا وَیَلْعَبُوا حَتّٰی یُلاٰقُوا یَوْمَهُمُ الَّذٖی یُوعَدُونَ۝٤٢۝یَوْمَ یَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْاَجْداٰثِ سِراٰعًا كَاَنَّهُمْ اِلٰی نُصُبٍ یُوفِضُونَ۝٤٣۝خاٰشِعَةً اَبْصاٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌۚ ذٰلِكَ الْیَوْمُ الَّذٖی كاٰنُوا یُوعَدُونَ۝٤٤۝سُورَةُ نُوحٍالمكية28بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖیمِاِنّآٰ اَرْسَلْناٰ نُوحًا اِلٰی قَوْمِهٖٓ اَنْ اَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ یَأْتِیَهُمْ عَذاٰبٌ اَلٖیمٌ۝١۝قاٰلَ یاٰ قَوْمِ اِنّٖی لَكُمْ نَذٖیرٌ مُبٖینٌ۝٢۝اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَاَطٖیعُونِ۝٣۝یَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَیُؤَخِّرْكُمْ اِلٰٓی اَجَلٍ مُسَمًّیۚ اِنَّ اَجَلَ اللّٰهِ اِذاٰ جآٰءَ لاٰ یُؤَخَّرُۚ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ۝٤۝قاٰلَ رَبِّ اِنّٖی دَعَوْتُ قَوْمٖی لَیْلًا وَنَهاٰرًا۝٥۝فَلَمْ یَزِدْهُمْ دُعآٰئٖیٓ اِلّاٰ فِراٰرًا۝٦۝وَاِنّٖی كُلَّماٰ دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوٓا اَصاٰبِعَهُمْ فٖیٓ ءاٰذاٰنِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِیاٰبَهُمْ وَاَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْباٰرًا۝٧۝ثُمَّ اِنّٖی دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهاٰرًا۝٨۝ثُمَّ اِنّٖیٓ اَعْلَنْتُ لَهُمْ وَاَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ اِسْراٰرًا۝٩۝فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ اِنَّهُۥ كاٰنَ غَفّاٰرًا۝١٠۝یُرْسِلِ السَّمآٰءَ عَلَیْكُمْ مِدْراٰرًا۝١١۝وَیُمْدِدْكُمْ بِاَمْواٰلٍ وَبَنٖینَ وَیَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنّاٰتٍ وَیَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ اَنْهاٰرًا۝١٢۝ماٰ لَكُمْ لاٰ تَرْجُونَ لِلّٰهِ وَقاٰرًا۝١٣۝وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ اَطْواٰرًا۝١٤۝اَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَیْفَ خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ سَبْعَ سَمٰواٰتٍ طِباٰقًا۝١٥۝وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فٖیهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِراٰجًا۝١٦۝وَاللّٰهُ اَنْبَتَكُمْ مِنَ الْاَرْضِ نَباٰتًا۝١٧۝ثُمَّ یُعٖیدُكُمْ فٖیهاٰ وَیُخْرِجُكُمْ اِخْراٰجًا۝١٨۝وَاللّٰهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَرْضَ بِساٰطًا۝١٩۝لِتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهاٰ سُبُلًا فِجاٰجًا۝٢٠۝قاٰلَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ اِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنٖی وَاتَّبَعُوا مَنْ لَمْ یَزِدْهُ ماٰلُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ اِلّاٰ خَساٰرًا۝٢١۝وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا كُبّاٰرًا۝٢٢۝وَقاٰلُوا لاٰ تَذَرُنَّ ءاٰلِهَتَكُمْ وَلاٰ تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلاٰ سُواٰعًا وَلاٰ یَغُوثَ وَیَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًا۝٢٣۝وَقَدْ اَضَلُّوا كَثٖیرًاۖ وَلاٰ تَزِدِ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ اِلّاٰ ضَلاٰلًا۝٢٤۝مِمّاٰ خَطٖیٓئاٰتِهِمْ اُغْرِقُوا فَاُدْخِلُوا ناٰرًا فَلَمْ یَجِدُوا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ اَنْصاٰرًا۝٢٥۝وَقاٰلَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ لاٰ تَذَرْ عَلَی الْاَرْضِ مِنَ الْكاٰفِرٖینَ دَیّاٰرًا۝٢٦۝اِنَّكَ اِنْ تَذَرْهُمْ یُضِلُّوا عِباٰدَكَ وَلاٰ یَلِدُوٓا اِلّاٰ فاٰجِرًا كَفّاٰرًا۝٢٧۝رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لٖی وَلِواٰلِدَیَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَیْتِیَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنٖینَ وَالْمُؤْمِناٰتِۖ وَلاٰ تَزِدِ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ اِلّاٰ تَباٰرًا۝٢٨۝

Surah Al-HaqqaMakiha52In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. The Besieger! ﴾1﴿What is the Besieger?! ﴾2﴿What will show you what is the Besieger?! ﴾3﴿Thamudand ‘Ad denied the Cataclysm. ﴾4﴿As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the Cry. ﴾5﴿And as for ‘Ad, they were destroyed by a fierce icy gale, ﴾6﴿which He clamped on them for seven gruelling nights and eight days, so that you could see the people there lying about prostrate as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees. ﴾7﴿So do you see any remaining trace of them? ﴾8﴿Then Pharaoh and those who were before him, and the towns that were overturned, brought about iniquity. ﴾9﴿They disobeyed the apostle of their Lord, so He seized them with a terrible seizing. ﴾10﴿Indeed when the Flood rose high, We carried you in a floating ark, ﴾11﴿that We might make it a reminder for you, and that receptive ears might remember it. ﴾12﴿When the Trumpet is blown with a single blast ﴾13﴿and the earth and the mountains are lifted and levelled with a single levelling, ﴾14﴿then, on that day, will the Imminent [Hour] befall ﴾15﴿and the sky will be split open—for it will be frail on that day— ﴾16﴿with the angels all over it, and the Throne of your Lord will be borne that day by eight [angels]. ﴾17﴿That day you will be presented [before your Lord]: none of your secrets will remain hidden. ﴾18﴿As for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say, ‘Here, take and read my book! ﴾19﴿Indeed I knew that I will encounter my account [of deeds].’ ﴾20﴿So he will have a pleasant life, ﴾21﴿in an elevated garden, ﴾22﴿whose clusters [of fruits] will be within easy reach. ﴾23﴿[He will be told]: ‘Enjoy your food and drink, for what you had sent in advance in past days [for your future life].’ ﴾24﴿But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he will say, ‘I wish I had not been given my book, ﴾25﴿nor had I ever known what my account is! ﴾26﴿I wish death had been the end of it all! ﴾27﴿My wealth did not avail me. ﴾28﴿My authority has left me.’ ﴾29﴿[The angels will be told:] ‘Seize him, and fetter him! ﴾30﴿Then put him into hell. ﴾31﴿Then bind him in a chain, seventy cubits in length. ﴾32﴿Indeed he had no faith in Allah, the All-supreme, ﴾33﴿and he did not urge the feeding of the needy, ﴾34﴿so he has no friend here today, ﴾35﴿nor any food except pus, ﴾36﴿which no one shall eat except the iniquitous.’ ﴾37﴿I swear by what you see ﴾38﴿and what you do not see: ﴾39﴿it is indeed the speech of a noble apostle ﴾40﴿and it is not the speech of a poet. Little is the faith that you have! ﴾41﴿Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer. Little is the admonition that you take! ﴾42﴿Gradually sent down from the Lord of all the worlds. ﴾43﴿Had he faked any sayings in Our name, ﴾44﴿We would have surely seized him by the right hand ﴾45﴿and then cut off his aorta, ﴾46﴿and none of you could have held Us off from him. ﴾47﴿Indeed it is a reminder for the Godwary. ﴾48﴿Indeed We know that there are some among you who deny [it]. ﴾49﴿And indeed it will be a [matter of] regret for the faithless. ﴾50﴿It is indeed certain truth. ﴾51﴿So celebrate the Name of your Lord, the All-supreme. ﴾52﴿Surah Al-Ma'arijMakiha44In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.An asker asked for a punishment sure to befall ﴾1﴿—which none can avert from the faithless — ﴾2﴿from Allah, Lord of the lofty stations. ﴾3﴿The angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in a day whose span is fifty thousand years. ﴾4﴿So be patient, with a patience that is graceful. ﴾5﴿Indeed they see it to be far off, ﴾6﴿and We see it to be near. ﴾7﴿The day when the sky will be like molten copper, ﴾8﴿and the mountains like [tufts of] dyed wool, ﴾9﴿and no friend will inquire about [the welfare of his] friend, ﴾10﴿[though] they will be placed within each other’s sight. The guilty one will wish he could ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children, ﴾11﴿his spouse and his brother, ﴾12﴿his kin, which had sheltered him ﴾13﴿and all those who are upon the earth, if that might deliver him. ﴾14﴿Never! Indeed, it is a blazing fire, ﴾15﴿which strips away the scalp. ﴾16﴿It invites him, who has turned back [from the truth] and forsaken [it], ﴾17﴿amassing [wealth] and hoarding [it]. ﴾18﴿Indeed man has been created covetous: ﴾19﴿anxious when an ill befalls him ﴾20﴿and grudging [charity] when good comes his way ﴾21﴿—[all are such] except the prayerful, ﴾22﴿those who persevere in their prayers ﴾23﴿and there is a known share in whose wealth ﴾24﴿for the beggar and the deprived, ﴾25﴿and who affirm the Day of Retribution, ﴾26﴿and those who are apprehensive of the punishment of their Lord ﴾27﴿(there is indeed no security from the punishment of their Lord) ﴾28﴿and those who guard their private parts ﴾29﴿(apart from their spouses and their slave women, for then they are not blameworthy; ﴾30﴿but whoever seeks beyond that—it is they who are the transgressors) ﴾31﴿and those who keep their trusts and covenants, ﴾32﴿and those who are observant of their testimonies, ﴾33﴿and those who are watchful of their prayers. ﴾34﴿They will be in gardens, held in honour. ﴾35﴿What is the matter with the faithless that they scramble toward you, ﴾36﴿from left and right, in groups? ﴾37﴿Does each man among them hope to enter the garden of bliss? ﴾38﴿Never! Indeed, We created them from what they know. ﴾39﴿So I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests that We are able ﴾40﴿to replace them with [others] better than them and We are not to be outmaneuvered. ﴾41﴿So leave them to gossip and play till they encounter the day they are promised: ﴾42﴿the day when they emerge from graves, hastening, as if racing toward a target, ﴾43﴿with a humbled look [in their eyes], overcast by abasement. That is the day they had been promised. ﴾44﴿Surah NuhMakiha28In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Indeed We sent Noah to his people, [saying,] ‘Warn your people before a painful punishment overtakes them.’ ﴾1﴿He said, ‘O my people! Indeed, I am a manifest warner to you. ﴾2﴿Worship Allah and be wary of Him, and obey me, ﴾3﴿that He may forgive you some of your sins and respite you until a specified time. Indeed when Allah’s [appointed] time comes, it cannot be deferred, if you know.’ ﴾4﴿He said, ‘My Lord! Indeed, I have summoned my people night and day ﴾5﴿but my summons only increases their evasion. ﴾6﴿Indeed whenever I have summoned them, so that You might forgive them, they would put their fingers into their ears and draw their cloaks over their heads, and they were persistent [in their unfaith], and disdainful in [their] arrogance. ﴾7﴿Again I summoned them aloud, ﴾8﴿and again appealed to them publicly and confided with them privately, ﴾9﴿telling [them]: ‘‘Plead to your Lord for forgiveness. Indeed, He is all-forgiving. ﴾10﴿He will send for you abundant rains from the sky, ﴾11﴿and aid you with wealth and sons, and provide you with gardens and provide you with streams. ﴾12﴿What is the matter with you that you do not look upon Allah with veneration, ﴾13﴿though He has created you in [various] stages? ﴾14﴿Have you not seen how Allah has created the seven heavens in layers, ﴾15﴿and has made therein the moon for a light and the sun for a lamp? ﴾16﴿Allah made you grow from the earth, with a [vegetable] growth. ﴾17﴿Then He makes you return to it, and He will bring you forth [without fail]. ﴾18﴿Allah has made the earth a vast expanse for you ﴾19﴿so that you may travel over its spacious ways.’’ ’ ﴾20﴿Noah said, ‘My Lord! They have disobeyed me, following someone whose wealth and children only add to his loss, ﴾21﴿and they have devised an outrageous plot. ﴾22﴿They say, ‘‘Do not abandon your gods. Do not abandon Wadd, nor Suwa, nor Yaghuth, Ya‘uq and Nasr,’’ ﴾23﴿and already they have led many astray. Do not increase the wrongdoers in anything but error.’ ﴾24﴿They were drowned because of their iniquities, then made to enter a Fire, and they did not find any helpers for themselves besides Allah. ﴾25﴿And Noah said, ‘My Lord! ‘Do not leave on the earth any inhabitant from among the faithless. ﴾26﴿If You leave them, they will lead astray Your servants, and will beget none except vicious ingrates. ﴾27﴿My Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house in faith, and the faithful men and women, and do not increase the wrongdoers in anything but ruin.’ ﴾28﴿
