سُورَةُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَالمكية118بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖیمِ قَدْ اَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ۝١۝ٱَلَّذٖینَ هُمْ فٖی صَلاٰتِهِمْ خاٰشِعُونَ۝٢۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ۝٣۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ لِلزَّكٰوةِ فاٰعِلُونَ۝٤۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حاٰفِظُونَ۝٥۝اِلّاٰ عَلٰٓی اَزْواٰجِهِمْ اَوْ ماٰ مَلَكَتْ اَیْماٰنُهُمْ فَاِنَّهُمْ غَیْرُ مَلُومٖینَ۝٦۝فَمَنِ ابْتَغٰی وَرآٰءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْعاٰدُونَ۝٧۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ لِاَماٰناٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ راٰعُونَ۝٨۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ عَلٰی صَلَواٰتِهِمْ یُحاٰفِظُونَ۝٩۝اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْواٰرِثُونَ۝١٠۝ٱَلَّذٖینَ یَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فٖیهاٰ خاٰلِدُونَ۝١١۝وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْساٰنَ مِنْ سُلاٰلَةٍ مِنْ طٖینٍ۝١٢۝ثُمَّ جَعَلْناٰهُ نُطْفَةً فٖی قَراٰرٍ مَكٖینٍ۝١٣۝ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظاٰمًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظاٰمَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْناٰهُ خَلْقًا ءاٰخَرَۚ فَتَباٰرَكَ اللّٰهُ اَحْسَنُ الْخاٰلِقٖینَ۝١٤۝ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ لَمَیِّتُونَ۝١٥۝ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ یَوْمَ الْقِیاٰمَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ۝١٦۝وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْناٰ فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرآٰئِقَ وَماٰ كُنّاٰ عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غاٰفِلٖینَ۝١٧۝وَاَنْزَلْناٰ مِنَ السَّمآٰءِ مآٰءً بِقَدَرٍ فَاَسْكَنّاٰهُ فِی الْاَرْضِۖ وَاِنّاٰ عَلٰی ذَهاٰبٍ بِهٖ لَقاٰدِرُونَ۝١٨۝فَاَنْشَأْناٰ لَكُمْ بِهٖ جَنّاٰتٍ مِنْ نَخٖیلٍ وَاَعْناٰبٍ لَكُمْ فٖیهاٰ فَواٰكِهُ كَثٖیرَةٌ وَمِنْهاٰ تَأْكُلُونَ۝١٩۝وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ طُورِ سَیْنآٰءَ تَنْبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِلْءاٰكِلٖینَ۝٢٠۝وَاِنَّ لَكُمْ فِی الْاَنْعاٰمِ لَعِبْرَةًۖ نُسْقٖیكُمْ مِمّاٰ فٖی بُطُونِهاٰ وَلَكُمْ فٖیهاٰ مَناٰفِعُ كَثٖیرَةٌ وَمِنْهاٰ تَأْكُلُونَ۝٢١۝وَعَلَیْهاٰ وَعَلَی الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ۝٢٢۝وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْناٰ نُوحًا اِلٰی قَوْمِهٖ فَقاٰلَ یاٰ قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ ماٰ لَكُمْ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ غَیْرُهُۥٓۚ اَفَلاٰ تَتَّقُونَ۝٢٣۝فَقاٰلَ الْمَلَؤُا الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهٖ ماٰ هٰذآٰ اِلّاٰ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ یُرٖیدُ اَنْ یَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَیْكُمْ وَلَوْ شآٰءَ اللّٰهُ لَاَنْزَلَ مَلآٰئِكَةً ماٰ سَمِعْناٰ بِهٰذاٰ فٖیٓ ءاٰبآٰئِنَا الْاَوَّلٖینَ۝٢٤۝اِنْ هُوَ اِلّاٰ رَجُلٌ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِهٖ حَتّٰی حٖینٍ۝٢٥۝قاٰلَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنٖی بِماٰ كَذَّبُونِ۝٢٦۝فَاَوْحَیْنآٰ اِلَیْهِ اَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِاَعْیُنِناٰ وَوَحْیِناٰ فَاِذاٰ جآٰءَ اَمْرُناٰ وَفاٰرَ التَّنُّورُ فَاسْلُكْ فٖیهاٰ مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَیْنِ اثْنَیْنِ وَاَهْلَكَ اِلّاٰ مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَیْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْۖ وَلاٰ تُخاٰطِبْنٖی فِی الَّذٖینَ ظَلَمُوٓاۖ اِنَّهُمْ مُغْرَقُونَ۝٢٧۝فَاِذَا اسْتَوَیْتَ اَنْتَ وَمَنْ مَعَكَ عَلَی الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذٖی نَجّٰىناٰ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ۝٢٨۝وَقُلْ رَبِّ اَنْزِلْنٖی مُنْزَلًا مُباٰرَكًا وَاَنْتَ خَیْرُ الْمُنْزِلٖینَ۝٢٩۝اِنَّ فٖی ذٰلِكَ لَءاٰیاٰتٍ وَاِنْ كُنّاٰ لَمُبْتَلٖینَ۝٣٠۝ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْناٰ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءاٰخَرٖینَ۝٣١۝فَاَرْسَلْناٰ فٖیهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْهُمْ اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ ماٰ لَكُمْ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ غَیْرُهُۥٓۚ اَفَلاٰ تَتَّقُونَ۝٣٢۝وَقاٰلَ الْمَلَاُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقآٰءِ الْءاٰخِرَةِ وَاَتْرَفْناٰهُمْ فِی الْحَیٰوةِ الدُّنْیاٰ ماٰ هٰذآٰ اِلّاٰ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ یَأْكُلُ مِمّاٰ تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَیَشْرَبُ مِمّاٰ تَشْرَبُونَ۝٣٣۝وَلَئِنْ اَطَعْتُمْ بَشَرًا مِثْلَكُمْ اِنَّكُمْ اِذًا لَخاٰسِرُونَ۝٣٤۝اَیَعِدُكُمْ اَنَّكُمْ اِذاٰ مِتُّمْ وَكُنْتُمْ تُراٰبًا وَعِظاٰمًا اَنَّكُمْ مُخْرَجُونَ۝٣٥۝هَیْهاٰتَ هَیْهاٰتَ لِماٰ تُوعَدُونَ۝٣٦۝اِنْ هِیَ اِلّاٰ حَیاٰتُنَا الدُّنْیاٰ نَمُوتُ وَنَحْیاٰ وَماٰ نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثٖینَ۝٣٧۝اِنْ هُوَ اِلّاٰ رَجُلُࣙ افْتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا وَماٰ نَحْنُ لَهُۥ بِمُؤْمِنٖینَ۝٣٨۝قاٰلَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنٖی بِماٰ كَذَّبُونِ۝٣٩۝قاٰلَ عَمّاٰ قَلٖیلٍ لَیُصْبِحُنَّ ناٰدِمٖینَ۝٤٠۝فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّیْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْناٰهُمْ غُثآٰءًۚ فَبُعْدًا لِلْقَوْمِ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ۝٤١۝ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْناٰ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا ءاٰخَرٖینَ۝٤٢۝ماٰ تَسْبِقُ مِنْ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلَهاٰ وَماٰ یَسْتَأْخِرُونَ۝٤٣۝ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْناٰ رُسُلَناٰ تَتْراٰۖ كُلَّماٰ جآٰءَ اُمَّةً رَسُولُهاٰ كَذَّبُوهُۖ فَاَتْبَعْناٰ بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْناٰهُمْ اَحاٰدٖیثَۚ فَبُعْدًا لِقَوْمٍ لاٰ یُؤْمِنُونَ۝٤٤۝ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْناٰ مُوسٰی وَاَخاٰهُ هاٰرُونَ بِأٰیاٰتِناٰ وَسُلْطاٰنٍ مُبٖینٍ۝٤٥۝اِلٰی فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِیهٖ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكاٰنُوا قَوْمًا عاٰلٖینَ۝٤٦۝فَقاٰلُوٓا اَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَیْنِ مِثْلِناٰ وَقَوْمُهُماٰ لَناٰ عاٰبِدُونَ۝٤٧۝فَكَذَّبُوهُماٰ فَكاٰنُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكٖینَ۝٤٨۝وَلَقَدْ ءاٰتَیْناٰ مُوسَی الْكِتاٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَهْتَدُونَ۝٤٩۝وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْیَمَ وَاُمَّهُۥٓ ءاٰیَةً وَءاٰوَیْناٰهُمآٰ اِلٰی رَبْوَةٍ ذاٰتِ قَراٰرٍ وَمَعٖینٍ۝٥٠۝یآٰ اَیُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّیِّباٰتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صاٰلِحًاۖ اِنّٖی بِماٰ تَعْمَلُونَ عَلٖیمٌ۝٥١۝وَاِنَّ هٰذِهٖٓ اُمَّتُكُمْ اُمَّةً واٰحِدَةً وَاَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ۝٥٢۝فَتَقَطَّعُوٓا اَمْرَهُمْ بَیْنَهُمْ زُبُرًاۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِماٰ لَدَیْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ۝٥٣۝فَذَرْهُمْ فٖی غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتّٰی حٖینٍ۝٥٤۝اَیَحْسَبُونَ اَنَّماٰ نُمِدُّهُمْ بِهٖ مِنْ ماٰلٍ وَبَنٖینَ۝٥٥۝نُساٰرِعُ لَهُمْ فِی الْخَیْراٰتِۚ بَلْ لاٰ یَشْعُرُونَ۝٥٦۝اِنَّ الَّذٖینَ هُمْ مِنْ خَشْیَةِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ۝٥٧۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ بِأٰیاٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ یُؤْمِنُونَ۝٥٨۝وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ لاٰ یُشْرِكُونَ۝٥٩۝وَالَّذٖینَ یُؤْتُونَ مآٰ ءاٰتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ اَنَّهُمْ اِلٰی رَبِّهِمْ راٰجِعُونَ۝٦٠۝اُولٰٓئِكَ یُساٰرِعُونَ فِی الْخَیْراٰتِ وَهُمْ لَهاٰ ساٰبِقُونَ۝٦١۝وَلاٰ نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا اِلّاٰ وُسْعَهاٰۚ وَلَدَیْناٰ كِتاٰبٌ یَنْطِقُ بِالْحَقِّۖ وَهُمْ لاٰ یُظْلَمُونَ۝٦٢۝بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فٖی غَمْرَةٍ مِنْ هٰذاٰ وَلَهُمْ اَعْماٰلٌ مِنْ دُونِ ذٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهاٰ عاٰمِلُونَ۝٦٣۝حَتّٰٓی اِذآٰ اَخَذْناٰ مُتْرَفٖیهِمْ بِالْعَذاٰبِ اِذاٰ هُمْ یَجْاَرُونَ۝٦٤۝لاٰ تَجْاَرُوا الْیَوْمَۖ اِنَّكُمْ مِنّاٰ لاٰ تُنْصَرُونَ۝٦٥۝قَدْ كاٰنَتْ ءاٰیاٰتٖی تُتْلٰی عَلَیْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ عَلٰٓی اَعْقاٰبِكُمْ تَنْكِصُونَ۝٦٦۝مُسْتَكْبِرٖینَ بِهٖ ساٰمِرًا تَهْجُرُونَ۝٦٧۝اَفَلَمْ یَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ اَمْ جآٰءَهُمْ ماٰ لَمْ یَأْتِ ءاٰبآٰءَهُمُ الْاَوَّلٖینَ۝٦٨۝اَمْ لَمْ یَعْرِفُوا رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُۥ مُنْكِرُونَ۝٦٩۝اَمْ یَقُولُونَ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌۚ بَلْ جآٰءَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَاَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كاٰرِهُونَ۝٧٠۝وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ اَهْوآٰءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰواٰتُ وَالْاَرْضُ وَمَنْ فٖیهِنَّۚ بَلْ اَتَیْناٰهُمْ بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِمْ مُعْرِضُونَ۝٧١۝اَمْ تَسْئَلُهُمْ خَرْجًا فَخَراٰجُ رَبِّكَ خَیْرٌۖ وَهُوَ خَیْرُ الرّاٰزِقٖینَ۝٧٢۝وَاِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ اِلٰی صِراٰطٍ مُسْتَقٖیمٍ۝٧٣۝وَاِنَّ الَّذٖینَ لاٰ یُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْءاٰخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّراٰطِ لَناٰكِبُونَ۝٧٤۝

Surah Al-Mu'minunMakiha118In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.  Certainly, the faithful have attained salvation ﴾1﴿—those who are humble in their prayers, ﴾2﴿avoid vain talk, ﴾3﴿carry out their [duty of] zakat, ﴾4﴿guard their private parts, ﴾5﴿(except from their spouses or their slave women, for then they are not blameworthy; ﴾6﴿but whoever seeks [anything] beyond that—it is they who are transgressors), ﴾7﴿and those who keep their trusts and covenants ﴾8﴿and are watchful of their prayers. ﴾9﴿It is they who will be the inheritors, ﴾10﴿who shall inherit paradise and will remain in it [forever]. ﴾11﴿Certainly We created man from an extract of clay. ﴾12﴿Then We made him a drop of [seminal] fluid [lodged] in a secure abode. ﴾13﴿Then We created the drop of fluid as a clinging mass. Then We created the clinging mass as a fleshy tissue. Then We created the fleshy tissue as bones. Then We clothed the bones with flesh. Then We produced him as [yet] another creature. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators! ﴾14﴿Then indeed you die after that. ﴾15﴿Then you will indeed be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. ﴾16﴿Certainly We created above you seven levels and We have not been oblivious of the creation. ﴾17﴿We sent down water from the sky in a measured manner, and We lodged it within the ground, and We are indeed able to take it away. ﴾18﴿Then with it We produced for you gardens of date palms and vines. There are abundant fruits in them for you, and you eat from them, ﴾19﴿and a tree that grows on Mount Sinai, which produces oil and a seasoning for those who eat. ﴾20﴿There is indeed a moral for you in the cattle: We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and you have many uses in them, and you eat some of them, ﴾21﴿and you are carried on them and on ships. ﴾22﴿Certainly We sent Noah to his people, and he said, ‘O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. Will you not then be wary [of Him]?’ ﴾23﴿But the elite of the faithless from among his people said, ‘This is just a human being like you, who seeks to dominate you. Had Allah wished, He would have sent down angels. We never heard of such a thing among our forefathers. ﴾24﴿He is just a man possessed by madness. So bear with him for a while.’ ﴾25﴿He said, ‘My Lord! Help me, for they impugn me.’ ﴾26﴿So We revealed to him: ‘Build the ark before Our eyes and by Our revelation. When Our edict comes and the oven gushes [a stream of water], bring into it a pair of every kind [of animal], and your family, except those of them against whom the decree has gone beforehand, and do not plead with Me for those who are wrongdoers: they shall indeed be drowned.’ ﴾27﴿‘When you, and those who are with you, are settled in the ark, say, ‘‘All praise belongs to Allah, who has delivered us from the wrongdoing lot.’’ ﴾28﴿And say, ‘‘My Lord! Land me with a blessed landing, for You are the best of those who bring ashore.’’ ’ ﴾29﴿There are indeed signs in this; and indeed, We have been testing. ﴾30﴿Then after them We brought forth another generation, ﴾31﴿and We sent them an apostle from among themselves, saying, ‘Worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. Will you not then be wary [of Him]?’ ﴾32﴿Said the elite of his people, who were faithless and who denied the encounter of the Hereafter and whom We had given affluence in the life of the world: ‘This is just a human being like yourselves: he eats what you eat, and drinks what you drink. ﴾33﴿If you obey a human being like yourselves, you will indeed be losers. ﴾34﴿Does he promise you that when you have died and become bones and dust you will indeed be raised [from the dead]? ﴾35﴿Far-fetched, far-fetched is what you are promised! ﴾36﴿There is nothing but the life of this world: we live and die, and we will not be resurrected. ﴾37﴿He is just a man who has fabricated a lie against Allah, and we will not believe in him.’ ﴾38﴿He said, ‘My Lord! Help me, for they impugn me.’ ﴾39﴿Said He, ‘In a little while they will become regretful.’ ﴾40﴿So the Cry seized them justly and We turned them into a scum. So away with the wrongdoing lot! ﴾41﴿Then after them We brought forth other generations. ﴾42﴿No nation can advance its time nor can it defer it. ﴾43﴿Then We sent Our apostles successively. Whenever there came to a nation its apostle, they impugned him, so We made them follow one another [to extinction] and We turned them into folktales. So away with the faithless lot! ﴾44﴿Then We sent Moses and Aaron, his brother, with Our signs and a manifest authority ﴾45﴿to Pharaoh and his elites; but they acted arrogantly and they were a tyrannical lot. ﴾46﴿They said, ‘Shall we believe two humans like ourselves, while their people are our slaves?’ ﴾47﴿So they impugned the two of them, whereat they were among those who were destroyed. ﴾48﴿Certainly We gave Moses the Book so that they might be guided, ﴾49﴿and We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and sheltered them in a level highland with flowing water. ﴾50﴿O apostles! Eat of the good things and act righteously. Indeed I know best what you do. ﴾51﴿Indeed this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord, so be wary of Me. ﴾52﴿But they fragmented their religion among themselves, each party boasting about what it had. ﴾53﴿So leave them in their stupor for a while. ﴾54﴿Do they suppose that whatever aid We provide them in regard to wealth and children [is because] ﴾55﴿We are eager to bring them good? No, they are not aware! ﴾56﴿Indeed those who are apprehensive for the fear of their Lord, ﴾57﴿and believe in the signs of their Lord, ﴾58﴿and do not ascribe partners to their Lord; ﴾59﴿who give whatever they give while their hearts tremble with awe that they are going to return to their Lord ﴾60﴿—it is they who are zealous in [performing] good works and take the lead in them. ﴾61﴿We task no soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. ﴾62﴿Indeed, their hearts are in a stupor in regard to this, and there are other deeds besides which they perpetrate. ﴾63﴿When We seize their affluent ones with punishment, behold, they make entreaties [to Us]. ﴾64﴿‘Do not make entreaties today! Indeed, you will not receive any help from Us. ﴾65﴿Certainly My signs used to be recited to you, but you used to take to your heels, ﴾66﴿being disdainful of it, talking nonsense in your nightly sessions.’ ﴾67﴿Have they not contemplated the Discourse, or has anything come to them [in it] that did not come to their forefathers? ﴾68﴿Is it that they do not recognize their apostle, and so they deny him? ﴾69﴿Do they say, ‘There is madness in him’? No, he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse to the truth. ﴾70﴿Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth would have surely fallen apart [along] with those who are in them. Indeed, We have brought them their Reminder, but they are disregardful of their Reminder. ﴾71﴿Do you ask a recompense from them? Your Lord’s recompense is better, and He is the best of providers. ﴾72﴿Indeed you invite them to a straight path, ﴾73﴿and those who do not believe in the Hereafter surely deviate from the path. ﴾74﴿
