وَماٰ كاٰنَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِیَنْفِرُوا كآٰفَّةًۚ فَلَوْلاٰ نَفَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِنْهُمْ طآٰئِفَةٌ لِیَتَفَقَّهُوا فِی الدّٖینِ وَلِیُنْذِرُوا قَوْمَهُمْ اِذاٰ رَجَعُوٓا اِلَیْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَحْذَرُونَ۝١٢٢۝یآٰ اَیُّهَا الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوا قاٰتِلُوا الَّذٖینَ یَلُونَكُمْ مِنَ الْكُفّاٰرِ وَلْیَجِدُوا فٖیكُمْ غِلْظَةًۚ وَاعْلَمُوٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقٖینَ۝١٢٣۝وَاِذاٰ مآٰ اُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ یَقُولُ اَیُّكُمْ زاٰدَتْهُ هٰذِهٖٓ اٖیماٰنًاۚ فَاَمَّا الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوا فَزاٰدَتْهُمْ اٖیماٰنًا وَهُمْ یَسْتَبْشِرُونَ۝١٢٤۝وَاَمَّا الَّذٖینَ فٖی قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ فَزاٰدَتْهُمْ رِجْسًا اِلٰی رِجْسِهِمْ وَماٰتُوا وَهُمْ كاٰفِرُونَ۝١٢٥۝اَوَلاٰ یَرَوْنَ اَنَّهُمْ یُفْتَنُونَ فٖی كُلِّ عاٰمٍ مَرَّةً اَوْ مَرَّتَیْنِ ثُمَّ لاٰ یَتُوبُونَ وَلاٰ هُمْ یَذَّكَّرُونَ۝١٢٦۝وَاِذاٰ مآٰ اُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ اِلٰی بَعْضٍ هَلْ یَرٰىكُمْ مِنْ اَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُواۚ صَرَفَ اللّٰهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ بِاَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لاٰ یَفْقَهُونَ۝١٢٧۝لَقَدْ جآٰءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ عَزٖیزٌ عَلَیْهِ ماٰ عَنِتُّمْ حَرٖیصٌ عَلَیْكُمْ بِالْمُؤْمِنٖینَ رَءُوفٌ رَحٖیمٌ۝١٢٨۝فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ حَسْبِیَ اللّٰهُ لآٰ اِلٰهَ اِلّاٰ هُوَۖ عَلَیْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظٖیمِ۝١٢٩۝سُورَةُ یُونُسَالمكية109بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖیمِالٓرۚ تِلْكَ ءاٰیاٰتُ الْكِتاٰبِ الْحَكٖیمِ۝١۝اَكاٰنَ لِلنّاٰسِ عَجَبًا اَنْ اَوْحَیْنآٰ اِلٰی رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ اَنْ اَنْذِرِ النّاٰسَ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوٓا اَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۗ قاٰلَ الْكاٰفِرُونَ اِنَّ هٰذاٰ لَساٰحِرٌ مُبٖینٌ۝٢۝اِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذٖی خَلَقَ السَّمٰواٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ فٖی سِتَّةِ اَیّاٰمٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰی عَلَی الْعَرْشِۖ یُدَبِّرُ الْاَمْرَۖ ماٰ مِنْ شَفٖیعٍ اِلّاٰ مِنْ بَعْدِ اِذْنِهٖۚ ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُۚ اَفَلاٰ تَذَكَّرُونَ۝٣۝اِلَیْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمٖیعًاۖ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقًّاۚ اِنَّهُۥ یَبْدَؤُا الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ یُعٖیدُهُۥ لِیَجْزِیَ الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّاٰلِحاٰتِ بِالْقِسْطِۚ وَالَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ شَراٰبٌ مِنْ حَمٖیمٍ وَعَذاٰبٌ اَلٖیمٌ بِماٰ كاٰنُوا یَكْفُرُونَ۝٤۝هُوَ الَّذٖی جَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ ضِیآٰءً وَالْقَمَرَ نُورًا وَقَدَّرَهُۥ مَناٰزِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا عَدَدَ السِّنٖینَ وَالْحِساٰبَۚ ماٰ خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ ذٰلِكَ اِلّاٰ بِالْحَقِّۚ یُفَصِّلُ الْءاٰیاٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ یَعْلَمُونَ۝٥۝اِنَّ فِی اخْتِلاٰفِ الَّیْلِ وَالنَّهاٰرِ وَماٰ خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ فِی السَّمٰواٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ لَءاٰیاٰتٍ لِقَوْمٍ یَتَّقُونَ۝٦۝اِنَّ الَّذٖینَ لاٰ یَرْجُونَ لِقآٰءَناٰ وَرَضُوا بِالْحَیٰوةِ الدُّنْیاٰ وَاطْمَاَنُّوا بِهاٰ وَالَّذٖینَ هُمْ عَنْ ءاٰیاٰتِناٰ غاٰفِلُونَ۝٧۝اُولٰٓئِكَ مَأْوٰىهُمُ النّاٰرُ بِماٰ كاٰنُوا یَكْسِبُونَ۝٨۝اِنَّ الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّاٰلِحاٰتِ یَهْدٖیهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِاٖیماٰنِهِمْۖ تَجْرٖی مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الْاَنْهاٰرُ فٖی جَنّاٰتِ النَّعٖیمِ۝٩۝دَعْوٰىهُمْ فٖیهاٰ سُبْحاٰنَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ وَتَحِیَّتُهُمْ فٖیهاٰ سَلاٰمٌۚ وَءاٰخِرُ دَعْوٰىهُمْ اَنِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعاٰلَمٖینَ۝١٠۝وَلَوْ یُعَجِّلُ اللّٰهُ لِلنّاٰسِ الشَّرَّ اسْتِعْجاٰلَهُمْ بِالْخَیْرِ لَقُضِیَ اِلَیْهِمْ اَجَلُهُمْۖ فَنَذَرُ الَّذٖینَ لاٰ یَرْجُونَ لِقآٰءَناٰ فٖی طُغْیاٰنِهِمْ یَعْمَهُونَ۝١١۝وَاِذاٰ مَسَّ الْاِنْساٰنَ الضُّرُّ دَعاٰناٰ لِجَنْبِهٖٓ اَوْ قاٰعِدًا اَوْ قآٰئِمًا فَلَمّاٰ كَشَفْناٰ عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُۥ مَرَّ كَاَنْ لَمْ یَدْعُنآٰ اِلٰی ضُرٍّ مَسَّهُۥۚ كَذٰلِكَ زُیِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفٖینَ ماٰ كاٰنُوا یَعْمَلُونَ۝١٢۝وَلَقَدْ اَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَمّاٰ ظَلَمُوا وَجآٰءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَیِّناٰتِ وَماٰ كاٰنُوا لِیُؤْمِنُواۚ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِی الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمٖینَ۝١٣۝ثُمَّ جَعَلْناٰكُمْ خَلآٰئِفَ فِی الْاَرْضِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ لِنَنْظُرَ كَیْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ۝١٤۝وَاِذاٰ تُتْلٰی عَلَیْهِمْ ءاٰیاٰتُناٰ بَیِّناٰتٍ قاٰلَ الَّذٖینَ لاٰ یَرْجُونَ لِقآٰءَنَا ائْتِ بِقُرْءاٰنٍ غَیْرِ هٰذآٰ اَوْ بَدِّلْهُۚ قُلْ ماٰ یَكُونُ لٖیٓ اَنْ اُبَدِّلَهُۥ مِنْ تِلْقآِٰٔی نَفْسٖیٓۖ اِنْ اَتَّبِعُ اِلّاٰ ماٰ یُوحٰٓی اِلَیَّۖ اِنّٖیٓ اَخاٰفُ اِنْ عَصَیْتُ رَبّٖی عَذاٰبَ یَوْمٍ عَظٖیمٍ۝١٥۝قُلْ لَوْ شآٰءَ اللّٰهُ ماٰ تَلَوْتُهُۥ عَلَیْكُمْ وَلآٰ اَدْرٰىكُمْ بِهٖۖ فَقَدْ لَبِثْتُ فٖیكُمْ عُمُرًا مِنْ قَبْلِهٖٓۚ اَفَلاٰ تَعْقِلُونَ۝١٦۝فَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اَوْ كَذَّبَ بِأٰیاٰتِهٖٓۚ اِنَّهُۥ لاٰ یُفْلِحُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ۝١٧۝وَیَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ ماٰ لاٰ یَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاٰ یَنْفَعُهُمْ وَیَقُولُونَ هٰٓؤُلآٰءِ شُفَعآٰؤُناٰ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِۚ قُلْ اَتُنَبِّئُونَ اللّٰهَ بِماٰ لاٰ یَعْلَمُ فِی السَّمٰواٰتِ وَلاٰ فِی الْاَرْضِۚ سُبْحاٰنَهُۥ وَتَعاٰلٰی عَمّاٰ یُشْرِكُونَ۝١٨۝وَماٰ كاٰنَ النّاٰسُ اِلّآٰ اُمَّةً واٰحِدَةً فَاخْتَلَفُواۚ وَلَوْلاٰ كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِیَ بَیْنَهُمْ فٖیماٰ فٖیهِ یَخْتَلِفُونَ۝١٩۝وَیَقُولُونَ لَوْلآٰ اُنْزِلَ عَلَیْهِ ءاٰیَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّهٖۖ فَقُلْ اِنَّمَا الْغَیْبُ لِلّٰهِ فَانْتَظِرُوٓا اِنّٖی مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُنْتَظِرٖینَ۝٢٠۝وَاِذآٰ اَذَقْنَا النّاٰسَ رَحْمَةً مِنْ بَعْدِ ضَرّآٰءَ مَسَّتْهُمْ اِذاٰ لَهُمْ مَكْرٌ فٖیٓ ءاٰیاٰتِناٰۚ قُلِ اللّٰهُ اَسْرَعُ مَكْرًاۚ اِنَّ رُسُلَناٰ یَكْتُبُونَ ماٰ تَمْكُرُونَ۝٢١۝هُوَ الَّذٖی یُسَیِّرُكُمْ فِی الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِۖ حَتّٰٓی اِذاٰ كُنْتُمْ فِی الْفُلْكِ وَجَرَیْنَ بِهِمْ بِرٖیحٍ طَیِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُوا بِهاٰ جآٰءَتْهاٰ رٖیحٌ عاٰصِفٌ وَجآٰءَهُمُ الْمَوْجُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكاٰنٍ وَظَنُّوٓا اَنَّهُمْ اُحٖیطَ بِهِمْ دَعَوُا اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصٖینَ لَهُ الدّٖینَ لَئِنْ اَنْجَیْتَناٰ مِنْ هٰذِهٖ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشّاٰكِرٖینَ۝٢٢۝فَلَمّآٰ اَنْجٰىهُمْ اِذاٰ هُمْ یَبْغُونَ فِی الْاَرْضِ بِغَیْرِ الْحَقِّۗ یآٰ اَیُّهَا النّاٰسُ اِنَّماٰ بَغْیُكُمْ عَلٰٓی اَنْفُسِكُمْۖ مَتاٰعَ الْحَیٰوةِ الدُّنْیاٰۖ ثُمَّ اِلَیْناٰ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِماٰ كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ۝٢٣۝اِنَّماٰ مَثَلُ الْحَیٰوةِ الدُّنْیاٰ كَمآٰءٍ اَنْزَلْناٰهُ مِنَ السَّمآٰءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهٖ نَباٰتُ الْاَرْضِ مِمّاٰ یَأْكُلُ النّاٰسُ وَالْاَنْعاٰمُ حَتّٰٓی اِذآٰ اَخَذَتِ الْاَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهاٰ وَازَّیَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ اَهْلُهآٰ اَنَّهُمْ قاٰدِرُونَ عَلَیْهآٰ اَتٰىهآٰ اَمْرُناٰ لَیْلًا اَوْ نَهاٰرًا فَجَعَلْناٰهاٰ حَصٖیدًا كَاَنْ لَمْ تَغْنَ بِالْاَمْسِۚ كَذٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْءاٰیاٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ یَتَفَكَّرُونَ۝٢٤۝وَاللّٰهُ یَدْعُوٓا اِلٰی داٰرِ السَّلاٰمِ وَیَهْدٖی مَنْ یَشآٰءُ اِلٰی صِراٰطٍ مُسْتَقٖیمٍ۝٢٥۝

 Yet it is not for the faithful to go forth en masse. But why should not there a group from each of their sections go forth to become learned in religion, and to warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware? ﴾122﴿O you who have faith! Fight the faithless who are in your vicinity, and let them find severity in you, and know that Allah is with the Godwary. ﴾123﴿Whenever a surah is sent down, there are some of them who say, ‘Which of you did it increase in faith?’ As for those who have faith, it increases them in faith, and they rejoice. ﴾124﴿But as for those in whose heart is a sickness, it only adds defilement to their defilement, and they die while they are faithless. ﴾125﴿Do they not see that they are tried once or twice every year? Yet they neither repent, nor do they take admonition. ﴾126﴿Whenever a surah is sent down they look at one another: ‘Is anybody observing you?’ Then they slip away. Allah has turned aside their hearts, for they are a people who do not understand. ﴾127﴿There has certainly come to you an apostle from among yourselves. Grievous to him is your distress; he has deep concern for you, and is most kind and merciful to the faithful. ﴾128﴿But if they turn their backs [on you], say, ‘Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god except Him. In Him I have put my trust and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.’ ﴾129﴿Surah YunusMakiha109In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the signs of the Wise Book. ﴾1﴿Does it seem odd to these people that We have revealed to a man from among themselves, [declaring], ‘Warn mankind, and give good news to the faithful that they are in good standing with their Lord’? The faithless say, ‘This is indeed a plain magician.’ ﴾2﴿Indeed your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and then settled on the Throne, directing the command. There is no intercessor, except by His leave. That is Allah, your Lord! So worship Him. Will you not then take admonition? ﴾3﴿To Him will be the return of you all; [that is] Allah’s true promise. Indeed, He originates the creation, then He will bring it back that He may reward with justice those who have faith and do righteous deeds. As for the faithless, they shall have boiling water for drink, and a painful punishment because of what they used to defy. ﴾4﴿It is He who made the sun a radiance and the moon a light, and ordained its phases that you might know the number of years and the calculation [of time]. Allah did not create all that except with justice. He elaborates the signs for a people who have knowledge. ﴾5﴿Indeed in the alternation of night and day, and whatever Allah has created in the heavens and the earth, there are surely signs for a people who are Godwary. ﴾6﴿Indeed those who do not expect to encounter Us and who are pleased with the life of this world and satisfied with it, and those who are oblivious of Our signs ﴾7﴿—it is they whose refuge shall be the Fire because of what they used to earn. ﴾8﴿Indeed those who have faith and do righteous deeds, their Lord guides them by the means of their faith. Streams will run for them in gardens of bliss. ﴾9﴿Their call therein will be, ‘O Allah! Immaculate are You!’ and their greeting therein will be, ‘Peace!’ and their concluding call, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.’ ﴾10﴿Were Allah to hasten ill for mankind with their haste for good, their term would have been over. But We leave those who do not expect to encounter Us bewildered in their rebellion. ﴾11﴿When distress befalls man, he supplicates Us, [lying] on his side, sitting, or standing; but when We remove his distress, he passes on as if he had never supplicated Us concerning the distress that had befallen him. What they have been doing is thus presented as decorous to the transgressors. ﴾12﴿Certainly We destroyed generations before you when they perpetrated wrongs: their apostles brought them manifest proofs, but they would not have faith. Thus do We requite the guilty lot. ﴾13﴿Then We made you successors on the earth after them that We may observe how you will act. ﴾14﴿When Our manifest signs are recited to them, those who do not expect to encounter Us say, ‘Bring a Quran other than this, or alter it.’ Say, ‘I may not alter it of my own accord. I follow only what is revealed to me. Indeed should I disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a tremendous day.’ ﴾15﴿Say, ‘Had Allah [so] wished, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you, for I have dwelled among you for a lifetime before it. Do you not exercise your reason?’ ﴾16﴿So who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah, or denies His signs? Indeed the guilty will not be felicitous. ﴾17﴿They worship besides Allah that which neither causes them any harm, nor brings them any benefit, and they say, ‘These are our intercessors with Allah.’ Say, ‘Will you inform Allah about something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?’ Immaculate is He and exalted above [having] any partners that they ascribe [to Him]! ﴾18﴿Mankind were but a single [religious] community; then they differed. And were it not for a prior decree of your Lord, decision would have been made between them concerning that about which they differ. ﴾19﴿They say, ‘Why has not some sign been sent down to him from his Lord?’ Say, ‘[The knowledge of] the Unseen belongs only to Allah. So wait. I too am waiting along with you.’ ﴾20﴿When We let people taste [Our] mercy after a distress that has befallen them, behold, they scheme against Our signs! Say, ‘Allah is more swift at devising.’ Indeed Our messengers write down what you scheme. ﴾21﴿It is He who carries you across land and sea. When you are in the ships, and they sail along with them with a favourable wind, exulting in it, there comes upon them a tempestuous wind and waves assail them from every side, and they think that they are besieged, they invoke Allah putting exclusive faith in Him, ‘If You deliver us from this, we will surely be among the grateful.’ ﴾22﴿But when He delivers them, behold, they commit violations on the earth unduly! O mankind! Your violations are only to your own detriment. [These are] the wares of the life of this world; then to Us will be your return, whereat We will inform you concerning what you used to do. ﴾23﴿The parable of the life of this world is that of water which We send down from the sky. It mingles with the earth’s vegetation from which humans and cattle eat. When the earth puts on its luster and is adorned, and its inhabitants think they have power over it, Our edict comes to it, by night or day, whereat We turn it into a mown field, as if it did not flourish the day before. Thus do We elaborate the signs for a people who reflect. ﴾24﴿Allah invites to the abode of peace, and He guides whomever He wishes to a straight path. ﴾25﴿
