وَلَقَدْ ءاٰتَیْنآٰ اِبْراٰهٖیمَ رُشْدَهُۥ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَكُنّاٰ بِهٖ عاٰلِمٖینَ۝٥١۝اِذْ قاٰلَ لِاَبٖیهِ وَقَوْمِهٖ ماٰ هٰذِهِ التَّماٰثٖیلُ الَّتٖیٓ اَنْتُمْ لَهاٰ عاٰكِفُونَ۝٥٢۝قاٰلُوا وَجَدْنآٰ ءاٰبآٰءَناٰ لَهاٰ عاٰبِدٖینَ۝٥٣۝قاٰلَ لَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ اَنْتُمْ وَءاٰبآٰؤُكُمْ فٖی ضَلاٰلٍ مُبٖینٍ۝٥٤۝قاٰلُوٓا اَجِئْتَناٰ بِالْحَقِّ اَمْ اَنْتَ مِنَ اللّاٰعِبٖینَ۝٥٥۝قاٰلَ بَلْ رَبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمٰواٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ الَّذٖی فَطَرَهُنَّ وَاَنَا عَلٰی ذٰلِكُمْ مِنَ الشّاٰهِدٖینَ۝٥٦۝وَتَاللّٰهِ لَاَكٖیدَنَّ اَصْناٰمَكُمْ بَعْدَ اَنْ تُوَلُّوا مُدْبِرٖینَ۝٥٧۝فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذاٰذًا اِلّاٰ كَبٖیرًا لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ اِلَیْهِ یَرْجِعُونَ۝٥٨۝قاٰلُوا مَنْ فَعَلَ هٰذاٰ بأٰلِهَتِنآٰ اِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ۝٥٩۝قاٰلُوا سَمِعْناٰ فَتًی یَذْكُرُهُمْ یُقاٰلُ لَهُۥٓ اِبْراٰهٖیمُ۝٦٠۝قاٰلُوا فَأْتُوا بِهٖ عَلٰٓی اَعْیُنِ النّاٰسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَشْهَدُونَ۝٦١۝قاٰلُوٓا ءَاَنْتَ فَعَلْتَ هٰذاٰ بأٰلِهَتِناٰ یآٰ اِبْراٰهٖیمُ۝٦٢۝قاٰلَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُۥ كَبٖیرُهُمْ هٰذاٰ فَسْئَلُوهُمْ اِنْ كاٰنُوا یَنْطِقُونَ۝٦٣۝فَرَجَعُوٓا اِلٰٓی اَنْفُسِهِمْ فَقاٰلُوٓا اِنَّكُمْ اَنْتُمُ الظّاٰلِمُونَ۝٦٤۝ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا عَلٰی رُءُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ ماٰ هٰٓؤُلآٰءِ یَنْطِقُونَ۝٦٥۝قاٰلَ اَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ ماٰ لاٰ یَنْفَعُكُمْ شَیْئًا وَلاٰ یَضُرُّكُمْ۝٦٦۝اُفٍّ لَكُمْ وَلِماٰ تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِۚ اَفَلاٰ تَعْقِلُونَ۝٦٧۝قاٰلُوا حَرِّقُوهُ وَانْصُرُوٓا ءاٰلِهَتَكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ فاٰعِلٖینَ۝٦٨۝قُلْناٰ یاٰ ناٰرُ كُونٖی بَرْدًا وَسَلاٰمًا عَلٰٓی اِبْراٰهٖیمَ۝٦٩۝وَاَراٰدُوا بِهٖ كَیْدًا فَجَعَلْناٰهُمُ الْاَخْسَرٖینَ۝٧٠۝وَنَجَّیْناٰهُ وَلُوطًا اِلَی الْاَرْضِ الَّتٖی باٰرَكْناٰ فٖیهاٰ لِلْعاٰلَمٖینَ۝٧١۝وَوَهَبْناٰ لَهُۥٓ اِسْحاٰقَ وَیَعْقُوبَ ناٰفِلَةًۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْناٰ صاٰلِحٖینَ۝٧٢۝وَجَعَلْناٰهُمْ اَئِمَّةً یَهْدُونَ بِاَمْرِناٰ وَاَوْحَیْنآٰ اِلَیْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَیْراٰتِ وَاِقاٰمَ الصَّلٰوةِ وَاٖیتآٰءَ الزَّكٰوةِۖ وَكاٰنُوا لَناٰ عاٰبِدٖینَ۝٧٣۝وَلُوطًا ءاٰتَیْناٰهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّیْناٰهُ مِنَ الْقَرْیَةِ الَّتٖی كاٰنَتْ تَعْمَلُ الْخَبآٰئِثَۚ اِنَّهُمْ كاٰنُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فاٰسِقٖینَ۝٧٤۝وَاَدْخَلْناٰهُ فٖی رَحْمَتِنآٰۖ اِنَّهُۥ مِنَ الصّاٰلِحٖینَ۝٧٥۝وَنُوحًا اِذْ ناٰدٰی مِنْ قَبْلُ فَاسْتَجَبْناٰ لَهُۥ فَنَجَّیْناٰهُ وَاَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظٖیمِ۝٧٦۝وَنَصَرْناٰهُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الَّذٖینَ كَذَّبُوا بِأٰیاٰتِنآٰۚ اِنَّهُمْ كاٰنُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَاَغْرَقْناٰهُمْ اَجْمَعٖینَ۝٧٧۝وَداٰوُۥدَ وَسُلَیْماٰنَۚ اِذْ یَحْكُماٰنِ فِی الْحَرْثِ اِذْ نَفَشَتْ فٖیهِ غَنَمُ الْقَوْمِ وَكُنّاٰ لِحُكْمِهِمْ شاٰهِدٖینَ۝٧٨۝فَفَهَّمْناٰهاٰ سُلَیْماٰنَ وَكُلًّا ءاٰتَیْناٰ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًاۚ وَسَخَّرْناٰ مَعَ داٰوُۥدَ الْجِباٰلَ یُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّیْرَۚ وَكُنّاٰ فاٰعِلٖینَ۝٧٩۝وَعَلَّمْناٰهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُمْ مِنْ بَأْسِكُمْۖ فَهَلْ اَنْتُمْ شاٰكِرُونَ۝٨٠۝وَلِسُلَیْماٰنَ الرّٖیحَ عاٰصِفَةً تَجْرٖی بِاَمْرِهٖٓ اِلَی الْاَرْضِ الَّتٖی باٰرَكْناٰ فٖیهاٰۚ وَكُنّاٰ بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ عاٰلِمٖینَ۝٨١۝وَمِنَ الشَّیاٰطٖینِ مَنْ یَغُوصُونَ لَهُۥ وَیَعْمَلُونَ عَمَلًا دُونَ ذٰلِكَۖ وَكُنّاٰ لَهُمْ حاٰفِظٖینَ۝٨٢۝وَاَیُّوبَ اِذْ ناٰدٰی رَبَّهُۥٓ اَنّٖی مَسَّنِیَ الضُّرُّ وَاَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرّاٰحِمٖینَ۝٨٣۝فَاسْتَجَبْناٰ لَهُۥ فَكَشَفْناٰ ماٰ بِهٖ مِنْ ضُرٍّۖ وَءاٰتَیْناٰهُ اَهْلَهُۥ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِناٰ وَذِكْرٰی لِلْعاٰبِدٖینَ۝٨٤۝وَاِسْماٰعٖیلَ وَاِدْرٖیسَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِۖ كُلٌّ مِنَ الصّاٰبِرٖینَ۝٨٥۝وَاَدْخَلْناٰهُمْ فٖی رَحْمَتِنآٰۖ اِنَّهُمْ مِنَ الصّاٰلِحٖینَ۝٨٦۝وَذَا النُّونِ اِذْ ذَهَبَ مُغاٰضِبًا فَظَنَّ اَنْ لَنْ نَقْدِرَ عَلَیْهِ فَناٰدٰی فِی الظُّلُماٰتِ اَنْ لآٰ اِلٰهَ اِلّآٰ اَنْتَ سُبْحاٰنَكَ اِنّٖی كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ۝٨٧۝فَاسْتَجَبْناٰ لَهُۥ وَنَجَّیْناٰهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّۚ وَكَذٰلِكَ نُنْجِی الْمُؤْمِنٖینَ۝٨٨۝وَزَكَرِیّآٰ اِذْ ناٰدٰی رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لاٰ تَذَرْنٖی فَرْدًا وَاَنْتَ خَیْرُ الْواٰرِثٖینَ۝٨٩۝فَاسْتَجَبْناٰ لَهُۥ وَوَهَبْناٰ لَهُۥ یَحْیٰی وَاَصْلَحْناٰ لَهُۥ زَوْجَهُۥٓۚ اِنَّهُمْ كاٰنُوا یُساٰرِعُونَ فِی الْخَیْراٰتِ وَیَدْعُونَناٰ رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًاۖ وَكاٰنُوا لَناٰ خاٰشِعٖینَ۝٩٠۝وَالَّتٖیٓ اَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهاٰ فَنَفَخْناٰ فٖیهاٰ مِنْ رُوحِناٰ وَجَعَلْناٰهاٰ وَابْنَهآٰ ءاٰیَةً لِلْعاٰلَمٖینَ۝٩١۝اِنَّ هٰذِهٖٓ اُمَّتُكُمْ اُمَّةً واٰحِدَةً وَاَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ۝٩٢۝وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا اَمْرَهُمْ بَیْنَهُمْۖ كُلٌّ اِلَیْناٰ راٰجِعُونَ۝٩٣۝فَمَنْ یَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصّاٰلِحاٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلاٰ كُفْراٰنَ لِسَعْیِهٖ وَاِنّاٰ لَهُۥ كاٰتِبُونَ۝٩٤۝وَحَراٰمٌ عَلٰی قَرْیَةٍ اَهْلَكْناٰهآٰ اَنَّهُمْ لاٰ یَرْجِعُونَ۝٩٥۝حَتّٰٓی اِذاٰ فُتِحَتْ یَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ حَدَبٍ یَنْسِلُونَ۝٩٦۝وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَاِذاٰ هِیَ شاٰخِصَةٌ اَبْصاٰرُ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا یاٰ وَیْلَناٰ قَدْ كُنّاٰ فٖی غَفْلَةٍ مِنْ هٰذاٰ بَلْ كُنّاٰ ظاٰلِمٖینَ۝٩٧۝اِنَّكُمْ وَماٰ تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ اَنْتُمْ لَهاٰ واٰرِدُونَ۝٩٨۝لَوْ كاٰنَ هٰٓؤُلآٰءِ ءاٰلِهَةً ماٰ وَرَدُوهاٰۖ وَكُلٌّ فٖیهاٰ خاٰلِدُونَ۝٩٩۝لَهُمْ فٖیهاٰ زَفٖیرٌ وَهُمْ فٖیهاٰ لاٰ یَسْمَعُونَ۝١٠٠۝اِنَّ الَّذٖینَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُمْ مِنَّا الْحُسْنٰٓی اُولٰٓئِكَ عَنْهاٰ مُبْعَدُونَ۝١٠١۝لاٰ یَسْمَعُونَ حَسٖیسَهاٰۖ وَهُمْ فٖی مَا اشْتَهَتْ اَنْفُسُهُمْ خاٰلِدُونَ۝١٠٢۝لاٰ یَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الْاَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقّٰىهُمُ الْمَلآٰئِكَةُ هٰذاٰ یَوْمُكُمُ الَّذٖی كُنْتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ۝١٠٣۝یَوْمَ نَطْوِی السَّمآٰءَ كَطَیِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِۚ كَماٰ بَدَأْنآٰ اَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُعٖیدُهُۥۚ وَعْدًا عَلَیْنآٰۚ اِنّاٰ كُنّاٰ فاٰعِلٖینَ۝١٠٤۝وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْناٰ فِی الزَّبُورِ مِنْ بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ اَنَّ الْاَرْضَ یَرِثُهاٰ عِباٰدِیَ الصّاٰلِحُونَ۝١٠٥۝اِنَّ فٖی هٰذاٰ لَبَلاٰغًا لِقَوْمٍ عاٰبِدٖینَ۝١٠٦۝وَمآٰ اَرْسَلْناٰكَ اِلّاٰ رَحْمَةً لِلْعاٰلَمٖینَ۝١٠٧۝قُلْ اِنَّماٰ یُوحٰٓی اِلَیَّ اَنَّمآٰ اِلٰهُكُمْ اِلٰهٌ واٰحِدٌۖ فَهَلْ اَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ۝١٠٨۝فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ ءاٰذَنْتُكُمْ عَلٰی سَوآٰءٍۖ وَاِنْ اَدْرٖیٓ اَقَرٖیبٌ اَمْ بَعٖیدٌ ماٰ تُوعَدُونَ۝١٠٩۝اِنَّهُۥ یَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَیَعْلَمُ ماٰ تَكْتُمُونَ۝١١٠۝وَاِنْ اَدْرٖی لَعَلَّهُۥ فِتْنَةٌ لَكُمْ وَمَتاٰعٌ اِلٰی حٖینٍ۝١١١۝قاٰلَ رَبِّ احْكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَرَبُّنَا الرَّحْمٰنُ الْمُسْتَعاٰنُ عَلٰی ماٰ تَصِفُونَ۝١١٢۝

 Certainly We had given Abraham his probity before, and We knew him ﴾51﴿when he said to his father and his people, ‘What are these images to which you keep on clinging?’ ﴾52﴿They said, ‘We found our fathers worshipping them.’ ﴾53﴿He said, ‘Certainly you and your fathers have been in manifest error.’ ﴾54﴿They said, ‘Are you telling the truth, or are you [just] kidding?’ ﴾55﴿He said, ‘Indeed, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, who originated them, and I affirm that. ﴾56﴿By Allah, I will devise a stratagem against your idols after you have gone away.’ ﴾57﴿So he broke them into pieces—all except the biggest of them—so that they might come back to it. ﴾58﴿They said, ‘Whoever has done this to Our gods?! He is indeed a wrongdoer!’ ﴾59﴿They said, ‘We heard a young man mentioning them. He is called ‘‘Abraham.’’ ’ ﴾60﴿They said, ‘Bring him before the people’s eyes so that they may bear witness [against him].’ ﴾61﴿They said, ‘Was it you who did this to our gods, O Abraham?’ ﴾62﴿He said, ‘No, it was this biggest one of them who did it! Ask them, if they can speak.’ ﴾63﴿Thereat they came to themselves and said [to one another], ‘Indeed it is you who are the wrongdoers!’ ﴾64﴿Then they hung their heads. [However, they said,] ‘You certainly know that they cannot speak.’ ﴾65﴿He said, ‘Then, do you worship besides Allah that which cannot cause you any benefit or harm? ﴾66﴿Fie on you and what you worship besides Allah! Do you not exercise your reason?’ ﴾67﴿They said, ‘Burn him, and help your gods, if you are to do anything!’ ﴾68﴿We said, ‘O fire! Be cool and safe for Abraham!’ ﴾69﴿They plotted to harm him, but We made them the biggest losers. ﴾70﴿We delivered him and Lot toward the land, which We have blessed for all nations. ﴾71﴿And We gave him Isaac, and Jacob as well for a grandson, and each of them We made righteous. ﴾72﴿We made them imams, guiding by Our command, and We revealed to them [concerning] the performance of good deeds, the maintenance of prayers, and the giving of zakat, and they used to worship Us. ﴾73﴿We gave judgement and knowledge to Lot, and We delivered him from the town which used to commit vicious acts. Indeed, they were an evil and depraved lot. ﴾74﴿And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was one of the righteous. ﴾75﴿And before that Noah, when he called out, We responded to him and delivered him and his family from the great agony. ﴾76﴿And We helped him against the people who denied Our signs. They were indeed an evil lot; so We drowned them all. ﴾77﴿And [remember] David and Solomon when they gave judgement concerning the tillage when the sheep of some people strayed into it by night, and We were witness to their judgement. ﴾78﴿We gave its understanding to Solomon, and to each We gave judgement and knowledge. We disposed the mountains and the birds to glorify [Us] with David, and We have been the doer [of these things]. ﴾79﴿We taught him the making of coats of mail for you, to protect you from your [own] violence. Will you then be grateful? ﴾80﴿And [We disposed] for Solomon the tempestuous wind which blew by his command toward the land which We have blessed, and We have knowledge of all things. ﴾81﴿Among the devils were some who dived for him and performed tasks other than that, and We were watchful over them. ﴾82﴿And [remember] Job, when he called out to his Lord, ‘Indeed distress has befallen me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful.’ ﴾83﴿So We answered his prayer and removed his distress, and We gave him [back] his family along with others like them, as a mercy from Us and an admonition for the devout. ﴾84﴿And [remember] Ishmael, Idris, and Dhul-Kifl—each of them was among the patient. ﴾85﴿We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were among the righteous. ﴾86﴿And [remember] the Man of the Fish, when he left in a rage, thinking that We would not put him to hardship. Then he cried out in the darkness, ‘There is no god except You! You are immaculate! I have indeed been among the wrongdoers!’ ﴾87﴿So We answered his prayer and delivered him from the agony; and thus do We deliver the faithful. ﴾88﴿And [remember] Zechariah, when he cried out to his Lord, ‘My Lord! Do not leave me without an heir, and You are the best of inheritors.’ ﴾89﴿So We answered his prayer, and gave him John, and cured for him his wife [of infertility]. Indeed, they were active in [performing] good works, and they would supplicate Us with eagerness and awe and were humble before Us. ﴾90﴿And [remember] her who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her Our spirit, and made her and her son a sign for all the nations. ﴾91﴿Indeed this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord. So worship Me. ﴾92﴿They have fragmented their religion among themselves, but everyone of them will return to Us. ﴾93﴿Whoever is faithful and does righteous deeds, his endeavour shall not go unappreciated, and We will indeed record it for him. ﴾94﴿It is forbidden for [the people of] any town that We have destroyed [to return to the world]: they shall not return, ﴾95﴿until when Gog and Magog are let loose, and they race down from every slope, ﴾96﴿and the true promise draws near [to its fulfillment], behold, the faithless will look on with a fixed gaze: ‘Woe to us! We have certainly been oblivious of this! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers!’ ﴾97﴿Indeed you and what [idols] you worship besides Allah shall be fuel for hell, and you will enter it. ﴾98﴿Had they been gods, they would not have entered it, and they will all remain in it [forever]. ﴾99﴿Their lot therein will be groaning, and they will not hear anything in it. ﴾100﴿Indeed those to whom there has gone beforehand [the promise of] the best reward from Us will be kept away from it. ﴾101﴿They will not hear even its faint sound and they will remain [forever] in what their souls desire. ﴾102﴿The Great Terror will not upset them, and the angels will receive them [saying]: ‘This is your day which you were promised.’ ﴾103﴿The day We shall roll up the heaven, like rolling of the scrolls [meant] for writings. We will bring it back just as We began the first creation—a promise [binding] on Us. [That] indeed We will do. ﴾104﴿Certainly We wrote in the Psalms, after the Torah: ‘Indeed My righteous servants shall inherit the earth.’ ﴾105﴿There is indeed in this a proclamation for a devout people. ﴾106﴿We did not send you but as a mercy to all the nations. ﴾107﴿Say, ‘It has been revealed to me that your God is the One God. So will you submit?’ ﴾108﴿But if they turn away, say, ‘I have proclaimed to you all alike, and I do not know whether what you have been promised is far or near. ﴾109﴿Indeed He knows whatever is spoken aloud, and He knows whatever you conceal. ﴾110﴿I do not know—maybe it is a trial for you and an enjoyment for a while.’ ﴾111﴿He said, ‘My Lord! Judge [between us and the polytheists] with justice.’ ‘Our Lord is the All-beneficent; [He is our] resort against what you allege.’ ﴾112﴿
