وَساٰرِعُوٓا اِلٰی مَغْفِرَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمٰواٰتُ وَالْاَرْضُ اُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقٖینَ۝١٣٣۝ٱَلَّذٖینَ یُنْفِقُونَ فِی السَّرّآٰءِ وَالضَّرّآٰءِ وَالْكاٰظِمٖینَ الْغَیْظَ وَالْعاٰفٖینَ عَنِ النّاٰسِۗ وَاللّٰهُ یُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنٖینَ۝١٣٤۝وَالَّذٖینَ اِذاٰ فَعَلُوا فاٰحِشَةً اَوْ ظَلَمُوٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا اللّٰهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا لِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَنْ یَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَلَمْ یُصِرُّوا عَلٰی ماٰ فَعَلُوا وَهُمْ یَعْلَمُونَ۝١٣٥۝اُولٰٓئِكَ جَزآٰؤُهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَجَنّاٰتٌ تَجْرٖی مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهاٰرُ خاٰلِدٖینَ فٖیهاٰۚ وَنِعْمَ اَجْرُ الْعاٰمِلٖینَ۝١٣٦۝قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَنٌ فَسٖیرُوا فِی الْاَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَیْفَ كاٰنَ عاٰقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبٖینَ۝١٣٧۝هٰذاٰ بَیاٰنٌ لِلنّاٰسِ وَهُدًی وَمَوْعِظَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقٖینَ۝١٣٨۝وَلاٰ تَهِنُوا وَلاٰ تَحْزَنُوا وَاَنْتُمُ الْاَعْلَوْنَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنٖینَ۝١٣٩۝اِنْ یَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ الْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِثْلُهُۥۚ وَتِلْكَ الْاَیّاٰمُ نُداٰوِلُهاٰ بَیْنَ النّاٰسِ وَلِیَعْلَمَ اللّٰهُ الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوا وَیَتَّخِذَ مِنْكُمْ شُهَدآٰءَۗ وَاللّٰهُ لاٰ یُحِبُّ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ۝١٤٠۝وَلِیُمَحِّصَ اللّٰهُ الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوا وَیَمْحَقَ الْكاٰفِرٖینَ۝١٤١۝اَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ اَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمّاٰ یَعْلَمِ اللّٰهُ الَّذٖینَ جاٰهَدُوا مِنْكُمْ وَیَعْلَمَ الصّاٰبِرٖینَ۝١٤٢۝وَلَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ الْمَوْتَ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَاَیْتُمُوهُ وَاَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُونَ۝١٤٣۝وَماٰ مُحَمَّدٌ اِلّاٰ رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُۚ اَفَإِینْ ماٰتَ اَوْ قُتِلَ انْقَلَبْتُمْ عَلٰٓی اَعْقاٰبِكُمْۚ وَمَنْ یَنْقَلِبْ عَلٰی عَقِبَیْهِ فَلَنْ یَضُرَّ اللّٰهَ شَیْئًاۗ وَسَیَجْزِی اللّٰهُ الشّاٰكِرٖینَ۝١٤٤۝وَماٰ كاٰنَ لِنَفْسٍ اَنْ تَمُوتَ اِلّاٰ بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ كِتاٰبًا مُؤَجَّلًاۗ وَمَنْ یُرِدْ ثَواٰبَ الدُّنْیاٰ نُؤْتِهٖ مِنْهاٰ وَمَنْ یُرِدْ ثَواٰبَ الْءاٰخِرَةِ نُؤْتِهٖ مِنْهاٰۚ وَسَنَجْزِی الشّاٰكِرٖینَ۝١٤٥۝وَكَاَیِّنْ مِنْ نَبِیٍّ قاٰتَلَ مَعَهُۥ رِبِّیُّونَ كَثٖیرٌ فَماٰ وَهَنُوا لِمآٰ اَصاٰبَهُمْ فٖی سَبٖیلِ اللّٰهِ وَماٰ ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكاٰنُواۗ وَاللّٰهُ یُحِبُّ الصّاٰبِرٖینَ۝١٤٦۝وَماٰ كاٰنَ قَوْلَهُمْ اِلّآٰ اَنْ قاٰلُوا رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَناٰ ذُنُوبَناٰ وَاِسْراٰفَناٰ فٖیٓ اَمْرِناٰ وَثَبِّتْ اَقْداٰمَناٰ وَانْصُرْناٰ عَلَی الْقَوْمِ الْكاٰفِرٖینَ۝١٤٧۝فَـأٰتٰىهُمُ اللّٰهُ ثَواٰبَ الدُّنْیاٰ وَحُسْنَ ثَواٰبِ الْءاٰخِرَةِۗ وَاللّٰهُ یُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنٖینَ۝١٤٨۝یآٰ اَیُّهَا الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوٓا اِنْ تُطٖیعُوا الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا یَرُدُّوكُمْ عَلٰٓی اَعْقاٰبِكُمْ فَتَنْقَلِبُوا خاٰسِرٖینَ۝١٤٩۝بَلِ اللّٰهُ مَوْلٰىكُمْۖ وَهُوَ خَیْرُ النّاٰصِرٖینَ۝١٥٠۝سَنُلْقٖی فٖی قُلُوبِ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعْبَ بِمآٰ اَشْرَكُوا بِاللّٰهِ ماٰ لَمْ یُنَزِّلْ بِهٖ سُلْطاٰنًاۖ وَمَأْوٰىهُمُ النّاٰرُۚ وَبِئْسَ مَثْوَی الظّاٰلِمٖینَ۝١٥١۝وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ وَعْدَهُۥٓ اِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُمْ بِاِذْنِهٖۖ حَتّٰٓی اِذاٰ فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَناٰزَعْتُمْ فِی الْاَمْرِ وَعَصَیْتُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مآٰ اَرٰىكُمْ ماٰ تُحِبُّونَۚ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ یُرٖیدُ الدُّنْیاٰ وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ یُرٖیدُ الْءاٰخِرَةَۚ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِیَبْتَلِیَكُمْۖ وَلَقَدْ عَفاٰ عَنْكُمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَی الْمُؤْمِنٖینَ۝١٥٢۝اِذْ تُصْعِدُونَ وَلاٰ تَلْوُۥنَ عَلٰٓی اَحَدٍ وَالرَّسُولُ یَدْعُوكُمْ فٖیٓ اُخْرٰىكُمْ فَاَثاٰبَكُمْ غَمًّا بِغَمٍّ لِكَیْ لاٰ تَحْزَنُوا عَلٰی ماٰ فاٰتَكُمْ وَلاٰ مآٰ اَصاٰبَكُمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ خَبٖیرٌ بِماٰ تَعْمَلُونَ۝١٥٣۝ثُمَّ اَنْزَلَ عَلَیْكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْغَمِّ اَمَنَةً نُعاٰسًا یَغْشٰی طآٰئِفَةً مِنْكُمْۖ وَطآٰئِفَةٌ قَدْ اَهَمَّتْهُمْ اَنْفُسُهُمْ یَظُنُّونَ بِاللّٰهِ غَیْرَ الْحَقِّ ظَنَّ الْجاٰهِلِیَّةِۖ یَقُولُونَ هَلْ لَناٰ مِنَ الْاَمْرِ مِنْ شَیْءٍۗ قُلْ اِنَّ الْاَمْرَ كُلَّهُۥ لِلّٰهِۗ یُخْفُونَ فٖیٓ اَنْفُسِهِمْ ماٰ لاٰ یُبْدُونَ لَكَۖ یَقُولُونَ لَوْ كاٰنَ لَناٰ مِنَ الْاَمْرِ شَیْءٌ ماٰ قُتِلْناٰ هٰهُناٰۗ قُلْ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ فٖی بُیُوتِكُمْ لَبَرَزَ الَّذٖینَ كُتِبَ عَلَیْهِمُ الْقَتْلُ اِلٰی مَضاٰجِعِهِمْۖ وَلِیَبْتَلِیَ اللّٰهُ ماٰ فٖی صُدُورِكُمْ وَلِیُمَحِّصَ ماٰ فٖی قُلُوبِكُمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٖیمٌ بِذاٰتِ الصُّدُورِ۝١٥٤۝اِنَّ الَّذٖینَ تَوَلَّوْا مِنْكُمْ یَوْمَ الْتَقَی الْجَمْعاٰنِ اِنَّمَا اسْتَزَلَّهُمُ الشَّیْطاٰنُ بِبَعْضِ ماٰ كَسَبُواۖ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمْۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُورٌ حَلٖیمٌ۝١٥٥۝یآٰ اَیُّهَا الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوا لاٰ تَكُونُوا كَالَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا وَقاٰلُوا لِاِخْواٰنِهِمْ اِذاٰ ضَرَبُوا فِی الْاَرْضِ اَوْ كاٰنُوا غُزًّی لَوْ كاٰنُوا عِنْدَناٰ ماٰ ماٰتُوا وَماٰ قُتِلُوا لِیَجْعَلَ اللّٰهُ ذٰلِكَ حَسْرَةً فٖی قُلُوبِهِمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ یُحْیٖی وَیُمٖیتُۗ وَاللّٰهُ بِماٰ تَعْمَلُونَ بَصٖیرٌ۝١٥٦۝وَلَئِنْ قُتِلْتُمْ فٖی سَبٖیلِ اللّٰهِ اَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِنَ اللّٰهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَیْرٌ مِمّاٰ یَجْمَعُونَ۝١٥٧۝وَلَئِنْ مُتُّمْ اَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لَاِلَی اللّٰهِ تُحْشَرُونَ۝١٥٨۝فَبِماٰ رَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللّٰهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْۖ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظًّا غَلٖیظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَۖ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشاٰوِرْهُمْ فِی الْاَمْرِۖ فَاِذاٰ عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَی اللّٰهِۚ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ یُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلٖینَ۝١٥٩۝اِنْ یَنْصُرْكُمُ اللّٰهُ فَلاٰ غاٰلِبَ لَكُمْۖ وَاِنْ یَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذٖی یَنْصُرُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِهٖۗ وَعَلَی اللّٰهِ فَلْیَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ۝١٦٠۝وَماٰ كاٰنَ لِنَبِیٍّ اَنْ یَغُلَّۚ وَمَنْ یَغْلُلْ یَأْتِ بِماٰ غَلَّ یَوْمَ الْقِیاٰمَةِۚ ثُمَّ تُوَفّٰی كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ماٰ كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاٰ یُظْلَمُونَ۝١٦١۝اَفَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْواٰنَ اللّٰهِ كَمَنْ بآٰءَ بِسَخَطٍ مِنَ اللّٰهِ وَمَأْوٰىهُ جَهَنَّمُۚ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصٖیرُ۝١٦٢۝هُمْ دَرَجاٰتٌ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِۗ وَاللّٰهُ بَصٖیرٌ بِماٰ یَعْمَلُونَ۝١٦٣۝لَقَدْ مَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَی الْمُؤْمِنٖینَ اِذْ بَعَثَ فٖیهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْ اَنْفُسِهِمْ یَتْلُوا عَلَیْهِمْ ءاٰیاٰتِهٖ وَیُزَكّٖیهِمْ وَیُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتاٰبَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَاِنْ كاٰنُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ لَفٖی ضَلاٰلٍ مُبٖینٍ۝١٦٤۝اَوَلَمّآٰ اَصاٰبَتْكُمْ مُصٖیبَةٌ قَدْ اَصَبْتُمْ مِثْلَیْهاٰ قُلْتُمْ اَنّٰی هٰذاٰۖ قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اَنْفُسِكُمْۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدٖیرٌ۝١٦٥۝وَمآٰ اَصاٰبَكُمْ یَوْمَ الْتَقَی الْجَمْعاٰنِ فَبِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ وَلِیَعْلَمَ الْمُؤْمِنٖینَ۝١٦٦۝وَلِیَعْلَمَ الَّذٖینَ ناٰفَقُواۚ وَقٖیلَ لَهُمْ تَعاٰلَوْا قاٰتِلُوا فٖی سَبٖیلِ اللّٰهِ اَوِ ادْفَعُواۖ قاٰلُوا لَوْ نَعْلَمُ قِتاٰلًا لَاتَّبَعْناٰكُمْۗ هُمْ لِلْكُفْرِ یَوْمَئِذٍ اَقْرَبُ مِنْهُمْ لِلْاٖیماٰنِۚ یَقُولُونَ بِاَفْواٰهِهِمْ ماٰ لَیْسَ فٖی قُلُوبِهِمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِماٰ یَكْتُمُونَ۝١٦٧۝ٱَلَّذٖینَ قاٰلُوا لِاِخْواٰنِهِمْ وَقَعَدُوا لَوْ اَطاٰعُوناٰ ماٰ قُتِلُواۗ قُلْ فَادْرَءُوا عَنْ اَنْفُسِكُمُ الْمَوْتَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صاٰدِقٖینَ۝١٦٨۝وَلاٰ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذٖینَ قُتِلُوا فٖی سَبٖیلِ اللّٰهِ اَمْواٰتًاۚ بَلْ اَحْیآٰءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ یُرْزَقُونَ۝١٦٩۝فَرِحٖینَ بِمآٰ ءاٰتٰىهُمُ اللّٰهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ وَیَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذٖینَ لَمْ یَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ اَلّاٰ خَوْفٌ عَلَیْهِمْ وَلاٰ هُمْ یَحْزَنُونَ۝١٧٠۝

 Hasten towards your Lord’s forgiveness and a paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the Godwary ﴾133﴿—those who spend in ease and adversity, and suppress their anger, and excuse [the faults of] the people, and Allah loves the virtuous; ﴾134﴿and those who, when they commit an indecent act or wrong themselves, remember Allah, and plead [to Allah seeking His] forgiveness for their sins—and who forgives sins except Allah?—and who knowingly do not persist in what [sins] they have committed. ﴾135﴿Their reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever]. How excellent is the reward of the workers! ﴾136﴿Certain [Divine] precedents have passed before you. So travel through the land and observe how was the fate of the deniers. ﴾137﴿This is an explanation for mankind, and a guidance and advice for the Godwary. ﴾138﴿Do not weaken or grieve: you shall have the upper hand, should you be faithful. ﴾139﴿If wounds afflict you, like wounds have already afflicted those people; and We make such vicissitudes rotate among mankind, so that Allah may ascertain those who have faith, and that He may take martyrs from among you, and Allah does not like the wrongdoers. ﴾140﴿And so that Allah may purge [the hearts of] those who have faith and that He may wipe out the faithless. ﴾141﴿Do you suppose that you would enter paradise, while Allah has not yet ascertained those of you who have waged jihad and He has not ascertained the steadfast? ﴾142﴿Certainly you were longing for death before you had encountered it. Then certainly, you saw it, as you were looking on. ﴾143﴿Muhammad is but an apostle; [other] apostles have passed before him. If he dies or is slain, will you turn back on your heels? Anyone who turns back on his heels, will not harm Allah in the least, and soon Allah will reward the grateful. ﴾144﴿No soul may die except by Allah’s leave, at an appointed time. Whoever desires the reward of this world, We will give him of it; and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter, We will give him of it; and soon We will reward the grateful. ﴾145﴿How many a prophet there has been with whom a multitude of godly men fought. They did not falter for what befell them in the way of Allah, neither did they weaken, nor did they abase themselves; and Allah loves the steadfast. ﴾146﴿All that they said was, ‘Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs, make our feet steady, and help us against the faithless lot.’ ﴾147﴿So Allah gave them the reward of this world and the fair reward of the Hereafter; and Allah loves the virtuous. ﴾148﴿O you who have faith! If you obey the faithless, they will turn you back on your heels, and you will become losers. ﴾149﴿Indeed, Allah is your Master, and He is the best of helpers. ﴾150﴿We shall cast terror into the hearts of the faithless because of their ascribing partners to Allah, for which He has not sent down any authority, and their refuge shall be the Fire, and evil is the [final] abode of the wrongdoers. ﴾151﴿Allah certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were slaying them with His leave, until you lost courage, disputed about the matter, and disobeyed after He showed you what you loved. Some among you desire this world, and some among you desire the Hereafter. Then He turned you away from them so that He might test you. Certainly He has excused you, for Allah is gracious to the faithful. ﴾152﴿When you were fleeing without paying any attention to anyone, while the Apostle was calling you from your rear, He requited you with grief upon grief, so that you may not grieve for what you lose nor for what befalls you, and Allah is well aware of what you do. ﴾153﴿Then He sent down to you safety after grief—a drowsiness that came over a group of you—while another group, anxious only about themselves, entertained false notions about Allah, notions of [pagan] ignorance. They say, ‘Do we have any role in the matter?’ Say, ‘Indeed the matter belongs totally to Allah.’ They hide in their hearts what they do not disclose to you. They say, ‘Had we any role in the matter, we would not have been slain here.’ Say, ‘Even if you had remained in your houses, those destined to be slain would have set out toward the places where they were laid to rest, so that Allah may test what is in your breasts, and that He may purge what is in your hearts, and Allah knows well what is in the breasts.’ ﴾154﴿Those of you who fled on the day when the two hosts met, only Satan had made them stumble because of some of their deeds. Certainly, Allah has excused them, for Allah is all-forgiving, all-forbearing. ﴾155﴿O you who have faith! Do not be like the faithless who say of their brethren, when they travel in the land or go into battle, ‘Had they stayed with us they would not have died or been killed,’ so that Allah may make it a regret in their hearts. But Allah gives life and brings death, and Allah watches what you do. ﴾156﴿If you are slain in the way of Allah, or die, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are surely better than what they amass. ﴾157﴿If you die or are slain, you will surely be mustered toward Allah. ﴾158﴿It is by Allah’s mercy that you are gentle to them; had you been harsh and hardhearted, they would have surely scattered from around you. So excuse them and plead for forgiveness for them, and consult them in the affairs, and once you are resolved, put your trust in Allah. Indeed Allah loves those who trust in Him. ﴾159﴿If Allah helps you, no one can overcome you, but if He forsakes you, who will help you after Him? So in Allah let all the faithful put their trust. ﴾160﴿A prophet may not breach his trust, and whoever breaches his trust will bring his breaches on the Day of Resurrection; then every soul shall be recompensed fully for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged. ﴾161﴿Is he who follows [the course of] Allah’s pleasure like him who earns Allah’s displeasure and whose refuge is hell, an evil destination? ﴾162﴿They have ranks with Allah, and Allah watches what they do. ﴾163﴿Allah certainly favoured the faithful when He raised up among them an apostle from among themselves to recite to them His signs and to purify them and teach them the Book and wisdom, and earlier they had indeed been in manifest error. ﴾164﴿What, when an affliction visits you—while you have inflicted twice as much—do you say, ‘How is this?’! Say, ‘This is from your own souls.’ Indeed Allah has power over all things. ﴾165﴿What befell you on the day when the two hosts met, was by Allah’s permission, so that He may ascertain the faithful, ﴾166﴿and ascertain the hypocrites. [When] they were told: ‘Come, fight in the way of Allah, or defend [yourselves], they said, ‘If we knew any fighting, we would have surely followed you.’ That day they were nearer to unfaith than to faith. They say with their mouths what is not in their hearts, and Allah knows well whatever they conceal. ﴾167﴿Those who said of their brethren, while they themselves sat back: ‘Had they obeyed us, they would not have been killed.’ Say, ‘Then keep death off from yourselves, if you are truthful.’ ﴾168﴿Do not suppose those who were slain in the way of Allah to be dead; no, they are living and provided for near their Lord, ﴾169﴿exulting in what Allah has given them out of His grace, and rejoicing for those who have not yet joined them from [those left] behind them, that they will have no fear, nor will they grieve. ﴾170﴿
