بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖیمِ
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.اَلسَّلاٰمُ عَلَيْكَ ياٰ أَباٰ عَبْدِاللّٰهِ ،Peace be upon you, O Abu Abd Allah!اَلسَّلاٰمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ ،Peace be on you, O son of the Apostle of Allah(Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny)( اَلسَّلاٰمُ عَلَيْكَ ياٰ خِيَرَةَ اللّٰهِ وَ ابْنَ خِيَرَتِهِ ) ،(Peace be on you, O the select, surpassing, chosen in preference over all good of Allah, and son of Allah's (such) good.)اَلسَّلاٰمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمٖيرِالْمُو​ْٔمِنٖينَ ،وَ ابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيّٖينَ ،Peace be on you, O son of the commander of the faithfuls, the forebear of the successors!اَلسَّلاٰمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فاٰطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسآٰءِ الْعاٰلَمٖينَ ،Peace be on you, O son of Fatimah, the choicest among the women of the worlds!اَلسَّلاٰمُ عَلَيْكَ ياٰ ثاٰرَ اللّٰهِ وَ ابْنَ ثاٰرِهِ وَ الْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُورَ ،Peace be on you, who was martyred while fighting heroically in the cause of Allah, the son of Allah's fearless warrior, you were isolated and had been attacked with a vengeance!اَلسَّلاٰمُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى الْأَرْواٰحِ الَّتٖي حَلَّتْ بِفِنآٰئِكَ ، عَلَيْكُمْ مِنّٖي جَمٖيعًا سَلاٰمُ اللّٰهِ أَبَدًا ماٰ بَقٖيتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهاٰرُPeace be on you and on those souls who had gathered in your camp, and strided along with you, in your journey. I pray and invoke Allah to keep all of you tranquil and restful, for ever; so far I am alive, this is my prayer, and till nights and days follow each other.ياٰ أَباٰ عَبْدِاللّٰهِ ، لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ وَ جَلَّتْ وَ عَظُمَتِ الْمُصٖيبَةُ بِكَ [ بِكُمْ ] عَلَيْناٰ وَ عَلىٰ جَمٖيعِ أَهْلِ الْإِسْلاٰمِ ، وَ جَلَّتْ وَ عَظُمَتْ مُصٖيبَتُكَ فِى السَّمٰواٰتِ عَلىٰ جَمٖيعِ أَهْلِ السَّمٰواٰتِ ،O Abu Abd Allah! unbearable is the sorrow, nerve-racking is the agony, you put up with, for us and for all the (true) Muslims, crimes committed against you also shocked and unnerved the dwellers of the heavens, one and all.فَلَعَنَ اللّٰهُ أُمَّةً أَسَّسَتْ أَساٰسَ الظُّلْمِ وَ الْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ ،May Allah condemn and damn the people who laid the basis and set up the groundwork, to wander astray and turn aside from not only you and your family but to take liberties and bear hard upon you. وَ لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ أُمَّةً دَفَعَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَقاٰمِكُمْ وَ أَزاٰلَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَراٰتِبِكُمُ الَّتٖي رَتَّبَكُمُ اللّٰهُ فٖيهاٰ ، وَ لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكُمْMay Allah condemn and damn the people who tried to obscure and deny your office and status, willfully neglected your rank and class Allah had made know in clear terms. May Allah condemn and damn the people who killed you وَ لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ الْمُمَهِّدٖينَ لَهُمْ بِالتَّمْكٖينِ مِنْ قِتاٰلِكُمْ ،May Allah curse those who paved the way for them to do so and who made possible for them to fight against you.بَرِئْتُ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ وَ مِنْ أَشْياٰعِهِمْ وَ أَتْباٰعِهِمْ وَ أَوْلِيآٰئِهِمْ ،I repudiate them in the presence of Allah and You and I repudiate their devotees, followers, and loyalists. ياٰ أَباٰ عَبْدِاللّٰهِ ، إِنّٖي سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ ساٰلَمَكُمْ ، وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حاٰرَبَكُمْ إِلىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِياٰمَةِ ،O Aba 'Abd Allah, I am at peace with those who are at peace with you and I am at war against those who have fought against you up to the Resurrection Day.وَ لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ اٰلَ زِياٰدٍ وَ اٰلَ مَرْواٰنَ ، وَ لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ بَنٖي أُمَيَّةَ قاٰطِبَةً ، وَ لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ ابْنَ مَرْجاٰنَةَ ، وَ لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ عُمَرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ ، وَ لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ شِمْراً [ شَمِراً ] ،May Allah also curse the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan. May Allah also curse the descendants of Umayyah altogether. May Allah also curse the son of Marjanah. May Allah also curse `Umar the son of Sa`d. May Allah also curse Shimr.وَ لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ أُمَّةً أَسْرَجَتْ وَ أَلْجَمَتْ وَ تَنَقَّبَتْ لِقِتاٰلِكَMay Allah also curse the people who saddled up, gave reins to their horses, and masked their faces in preparation for fighting against you.بِأَبٖي أَنْتَ وَ أُمّٖي ، لَقَدْ عَظُمَ مُصاٰبٖي بِكَ ، فَأَسْئَلُ اللّٰهَ الَّذٖي أَكْرَمَ مَقاٰمَكَ ، وَ أَكْرَمَنٖي ( بِكَ ) ، أَنْ يَرْزُقَنٖي طَلَبَ ثاٰرِكَ مَعَ إِماٰمٍ مَنْصُورٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ .May my father and mother be ransoms for you. Extremely insufferable is my commiserations with you; so, I beseech Allah Who has honored your position and honored me because of you to endue me with the chance to avenge you with a (Divinely) supported leader from the Household of Muhammad, peace of Allah be upon him and his Household.اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنٖي عِنْدَكَ وَجٖيهاً بِالْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاٰمُ فِى الدُّنْياٰ وَ الْأٰخِرَةِ ،O Allah, (please) make me illustrious in Your sight in the name of al-Husayn, peace be upon him, in this world and in the Hereafter.ياٰ أَباٰعَبْدِاللّٰهِ ، إِنّٖي أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَى اللّٰهِ ، وَ إِلىٰ رَسُولِهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ) ، وَ إِلىٰ أَمٖيرِالْمُؤْمِنٖينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاٰمُ) ، وَ إِلىٰ فاٰطِمَةَ (عَلَيْهاٰ السَّلاٰمُ) ، وَ إِلَى الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاٰمُ) ، وَ إِلَيْكَ بِمُواٰلاٰتِكَ وَ بِالْبَرآٰئَةِ ( مِمَّنْ قاٰتَلَكَ ، وَ نَصَبَ لَكَ الْحَرْبَ ، وَ بِالْبَرآٰئَةِ مِمَّنْ أَسَّسَ أَساٰسَ الظُّلْمِ وَ الْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ ، وَ اَبْرَءُ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَ إِلىٰ رَسُولِهِ ) مِمَّنْ أَسَّسَ أَساٰسَ ذٰلِكَ وَ بَنىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُنْياٰنَهُ ، وَ جَرىٰ فٖي ظُلْمِهِ وَ جَوْرِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ عَلىٰ أَشْياٰعِكُمْ ،O Aba 'Abd Allah, I do seek nearness to Allah, to His Messenger (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny), to the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), to Fatimah (Peace be upon her), to al-Hasan (peace be upon him), and to you by means of loyalty to you and by means of repudiation of those who fought against you and incurred your hostility, and repudiation of those who laid the basis of persecution and wronging against you all. I also repudiate, in the presence of Allah and His Messenger, those who laid the basis of all that, established their foundations on it, and continued in wronging and persecuting you and your adherents.بَرِئْتُ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ ، وَ أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَى اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ إِلَيْكُمْ بِمُواٰلاٰتِكُمْ وَ مُواٰلاٰةِ وَلِيِّكُمْ ، وَ بِالْبَرآٰئَةِ مِنْ أَعْدآٰئِكُمْ ، وَ النّٰاصِبٖينَ لَكُمُ الْحَرْبَ ، وَ بِالْبَرآٰئَةِ مِنْ أَشْياٰعِهِمْ وَ أَتْباٰعِهِمْ ،In the presence of Allah and you all do I repudiate these. And I seek nearness to Allah and then to you all by means of declaring loyalty to you and to your loyalists and declaring repudiation of your enemies and those who incur animosity of you and repudiation of their adherents and followers.إِنّٖي سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ ساٰلَمَكُمْ ، وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حاٰرَبَكُمْ ، وَ وَلِيٌّ لِمَنْ واٰلاٰكُمْ ، وَ عَدُوٌّ لِمَنْ عاٰداٰكُمْ ،I am verily at peace with those who have been at peace with you, I am at war against those who fought against you, loyalist to those who have been loyalist to you, and enemy of those who have shown enmity towards you.فَأَسْئَلُ اللّٰهَ الَّذٖي أَكْرَمَنٖي بِمَعْرِفَتِكُمْ ، وَ مَعْرِفَةِ أَوْلِيآٰئِكُمْ ، وَ رَزَقَنِى الْبَرآٰئَةَ مِنْ أَعْدآٰئِكُمْ ، أَنْ يَجْعَلَنٖي مَعَكُمْ فِى الدُّنْياٰ وَ الْأٰخِرَةِ ، وَ أَنْ يُثَبِّتَ لٖي عِنْدَكُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ فِى الدُّنْياٰ وَ الْأٰخِرَةِ ،So, I beseech Allah Who has endued me with the honor of recognizing you and recognizing your loyalists and Who conferred upon me with repudiation of your enemies, to include me with you in this world and in the Hereafter and to make firm step of honesty for me with you in this world and in the Hereafter.وَ أَسْئَلُهُ أَنْ يُبَلِّغَنِى الْمَقاٰمَ الْمَحْمُودَ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ، وَ أَنْ يَرْزُقَنٖي طَلَبَ ثاٰرٖي [ ثاٰرِکُمْ ] مَعَ إِماٰمٍ هُدًى [ مَهْدىٍّ ] (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاٰمُ) ظاٰهِرٍ ناٰطِقٍ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْكُمْI also beseech Him to make me attain the praiseworthy status that you enjoy with Allah and to bestow upon me with the chance to take my own vengeance with a leader of true guidance [Mahdi] (peace be upon him) who is (Divinely) sustained and expressing the truth from among you.وَ أَسْئَلُ اللّٰهَ بِحَقِّكُمْ وَبِالشَّأْنِ الَّذٖي لَكُمْ عِنْدَهُ أَنْ يُعْطِيَنٖي بِمُصاٰبٖي بِكُمْ أَفْضَلَ ماٰ يُعْطٖي مُصاٰبًا بِمُصٖيبَتِهِ ،I also beseech Allah in your names and in the name of the standing that you enjoy with Him to recompense me for my commiserations for you with the most favorite thing that He ever gives as compensation for misfortunes that has afflicted anyone.مُصٖيبَةً ماٰ أَعْظَمَهاٰ وَ أَعْظَمَ رَزِيَّتَهاٰ فِى الْإِسْلاٰمِ وَ فٖي جَمٖيعِ السَّمٰواٰتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ [ الْأَرَضٖينَ ] .(Your) misfortune has been so astounding and so catastrophic for Islam and for all the heavens and the entire earth.اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنٖي فٖي مَقاٰمٖي هٰذاٰ مِمَّنْ تَناٰلُهُ مِنْكَ صَلَواٰتٌ وَ رَحْمَةٌ وَ مَغْفِرَةٌ ،O Allah, (please) make me in this situation of mine one of those who receive blessings, mercy, and forgiveness from You.اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَحْياٰيَ مَحْياٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَ مَماٰتٖي مَماٰتَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍO Allah, (please) make me live my lifetime in the same way as Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household lived and make me die on the same principles on which Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household died.اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّ هٰذاٰ يَوْمٌ تَبَرَّكَتْ بِهِ ( فٖيهِ ) بَنُو أُمَيَّةَ وَ ابْنُ اٰكِلَةِ الْأَكْباٰدِ ، اَللَّعٖينُ ابْنُ اللَّعٖينِ عَلىٰ لِساٰنِكَ وَ لِساٰنِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ فٖي كُلِّ مَوْطِنٍ وَ مَوْقِفٍ وَقَفَ فٖيهِ نَبِيُّكَ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ .O Allah, this day has been regarded as blessed day by the descendants of Umayyah and by the son of the liver-eater woman, the accursed and son of the accursed by the tongue of You and by the tongue of Your Prophet, Allah’s peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny, on every occasion and in every situation, which Your Prophet, Allah’s peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny, attended.اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ أَباٰسُفْياٰنَ وَ مُعاٰوِيَةَ وَ يَزٖيدَ بْنَ مُعاٰوِيَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْكَ اللَّعْنَةُ أَبَدَ الْأٰبِدٖينَ ،O Allah, pour curses upon Aba Sufyan, Mu`wiyah, and Yazid son of Mu'awiyah. May Your curse be upon them incessantly and everlastingly.وَ هٰذاٰ يَوْمٌ فَرِحَتْ بِهِ اٰلُ زِياٰدٍ وَ اٰلُ مَرْواٰنَ بِقَتْلِهِمُ الْحُسَيْنَ صَلَواٰتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِ .This is the day on which the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan gloated because they had killed al-Husayn, Allah’s blessings be upon him.اَللّٰهُمَّ فَضاٰعِفْ عَلَيْهِمُ اللَّعْنَ مِنْكَ وَ الْعَذاٰبَ ( الْأَلٖيمَ ) . اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنّٖي أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيْكَ فٖي هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ ، وَ فٖي مَوْقِفٖي هٰذاٰ ، وَ أَيّاٰمِ حَياٰتٖي بِالْبَرآٰئَةِ مِنْهُمْ ، وَ اللَّعْنَةِ عَلَيْهِمْ ، وَ بِالْمُواٰلاٰةِ لِنَبِيِّكَ وَ اٰلِ نَبِيِّكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاٰمُSo, O Allah, pour frequent curses upon them and double for them the painful chastisement. O Allah, I do seek nearness to You on this day, on this occasion, and on all the days of my lifetime, by repudiating these and invoking Your curses upon them, and by declaring loyalty to Your Prophet and Your Prophet’s Household, peace be upon him and them.So say 100 times:اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ أَوَّلَ ظاٰلِمٍ ظَلَمَ حَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰخِرَ تاٰبِعٍ لَهُ عَلىٰ ذٰلِكَ .اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنِ الْعِصاٰبَةَ الَّتٖي جاٰهَدَتِ الْحُسَيْنَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاٰمُ) وَ شاٰيَعَتْ وَ باٰيَعَتْ وَ تاٰبَعَتْ عَلىٰ قَتْلِهِ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمْ جَمٖيعاًO Allah, pour curses upon the foremost persecutor who usurped the right of Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household and the last follower who acceded to his deed.O Allah, pour curses upon the gang that struggled against al-Husayn (peace be upon him) and who supported each other against him, paid homage to his enemies, and participated in slaying him. O Allah, pour curses upon all of them.So say 100 times:اَلسَّلاٰمُ عَلَيْكَ ياٰ أَباٰ عَبْدِاللّٰهِ وَ عَلَى الْأَرْواٰحِ الَّتٖي حَلَّتْ بِفِنآٰئِكَ ، عَلَيْكَ مِنّٖي سَلاٰمُ اللّٰهِ أَبَدًا ماٰ بَقٖيتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهاٰرُ ، وَ لاٰ جَعَلَهُ اللّٰهُ اٰخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنّٖي لِزِياٰرَتِكُمْ [ لِزِياٰرَتِكَ ] ،اَلسَّلاٰمُ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ ، وَ عَلىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، وَ عَلىٰ أَوْلاٰدِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، وَ عَلىٰ أَصْحاٰبِ الْحُسَيْنِPeace be upon you, O Aba 'Abd Allah and upon the souls that gathered in your courtyard. Peace of Allah be upon you from me forever as long as I am existent and as long as there are day and night. May Allah not cause this (visit) to be the last of my visit to you (all).Peace be upon al-Husayn, upon 'Ali b. al-Husayn, upon the sons of al-Husayn, and upon the companions of al-Husayn.Then say once:اَللّٰهُمَّ خُصَّ أَنْتَ أَوَّلَ ظاٰلِمٍ بِاللَّعْنِ مِنّٖي ، وَ ابْدَأْ بِهِ أَوَّلًا ، ثُمَّ ( الْعَنِ ) الثّٰانٖيَ وَ الثّٰالِثَ وَ الرّٰابِعَ.O Allah, pour special curses on the foremost persecutor and begin with him first, and then pour curses on the second, the third, and the fourth.اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ يَزٖيدَ خاٰمِساً ، وَ الْعَنْ عُبَيْدَ اللّٰهِ بْنَ زِياٰدٍ وَ ابْنَ مَرْجاٰنَةَ وَ عُمَرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ وَ شِمْرًا وَ اٰلَ أَبٖي سُفْياٰنَ وَ اٰلَ زِياٰدٍ وَ اٰلَ مَرْواٰنَ إِلىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ.O Allah, curse Yazid fifthly, and curse 'Ubayd Allah b. Ziyad, the son of Marjanah, 'Umar b. Sa'd, Shimr, the family of Aba Sufyan, the family of Ziyad, and the family of Marwan up to the Resurrection Day.Finally you have to prostrate yourself and say once:اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدَ الشّاٰكِرٖينَ لَكَ عَلىٰ مُصاٰبِهِمْ ، اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ عَلىٰ عَظٖيمِ رَزِيَّتٖي ،O Allah, all praise be to You; the praise of those who thank You for their misfortunes. All praise be to Allah for my great misfortune.اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْزُقْنٖي شَفٰاعَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاٰمُ) يَوْمَ الْوُرُودِ ، وَ ثَبِّتْ لٖي قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَكَ مَعَ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاٰمُ) وَ أَصْحاٰبِ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاٰمُ) اَلَّذٖينَ بَذَلُوا مُهَجَهُمْ دُونَ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاٰمُ.O Allah, (please) grant me the intercession of al-Husayn (peace be upon him) on the Day of Coming (to You) and make for me with You a firm step of honesty with al-Husayn (peace be upon him) and the companions of al-Husayn (peace be upon him) who sacrificed their souls in defense of al-Husayn, peace be upon him.
