سُورَةُ طٰهالمكية135بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖیمِطه۝١۝مآٰ اَنْزَلْناٰ عَلَیْكَ الْقُرْءاٰنَ لِتَشْقٰٓی۝٢۝اِلّاٰ تَذْكِرَةً لِمَنْ یَخْشٰی۝٣۝تَنْزٖیلًا مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ الْاَرْضَ وَالسَّمٰواٰتِ الْعُلٰی۝٤۝ٱَلرَّحْمٰنُ عَلَی الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوٰی۝٥۝لَهُۥ ماٰ فِی السَّمٰواٰتِ وَماٰ فِی الْاَرْضِ وَماٰ بَیْنَهُماٰ وَماٰ تَحْتَ الثَّرٰی۝٦۝وَاِنْ تَجْهَرْ بِالْقَوْلِ فَاِنَّهُۥ یَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ وَاَخْفٰی۝٧۝ٱَللّٰهُ لآٰ اِلٰهَ اِلّاٰ هُوَۖ لَهُ الْاَسْمآٰءُ الْحُسْنٰی۝٨۝وَهَلْ اَتٰىكَ حَدٖیثُ مُوسٰٓی۝٩۝اِذْ رَءا ناٰرًا فَقاٰلَ لِاَهْلِهِ امْكُثُوٓا اِنّٖیٓ ءاٰنَسْتُ ناٰرًا لَعَلّٖیٓ ءاٰتٖیكُمْ مِنْهاٰ بِقَبَسٍ اَوْ اَجِدُ عَلَی النّاٰرِ هُدًی۝١٠۝فَلَمّآٰ اَتٰىهاٰ نُودِیَ یاٰ مُوسٰٓی۝١١۝اِنّٖیٓ اَنَا رَبُّكَ فَاخْلَعْ نَعْلَیْكَ اِنَّكَ بِالْواٰدِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًی۝١٢۝وَاَنَا اخْتَرْتُكَ فَاسْتَمِعْ لِماٰ یُوحٰٓی۝١٣۝اِنَّنٖیٓ اَنَا اللّٰهُ لآٰ اِلٰهَ اِلّآٰ اَنَا فَاعْبُدْنٖی وَاَقِمِ الصَّلٰوةَ لِذِكْرٖیٓ۝١٤۝اِنَّ السّاٰعَةَ ءاٰتِیَةٌ اَكاٰدُ اُخْفٖیهاٰ لِتُجْزٰی كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِماٰ تَسْعٰی۝١٥۝فَلاٰ یَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنْهاٰ مَنْ لاٰ یُؤْمِنُ بِهاٰ وَاتَّبَعَ هَوٰىهُ فَتَرْدٰی۝١٦۝وَماٰ تِلْكَ بِیَمٖینِكَ یاٰ مُوسٰی۝١٧۝قاٰلَ هِیَ عَصاٰیَ اَتَوَكَّؤُا عَلَیْهاٰ وَاَهُشُّ بِهاٰ عَلٰی غَنَمٖی وَلِیَ فٖیهاٰ مَـأٰرِبُ اُخْرٰی۝١٨۝قاٰلَ اَلْقِهاٰ یاٰ مُوسٰی۝١٩۝فَاَلْقٰىهاٰ فَاِذاٰ هِیَ حَیَّةٌ تَسْعٰی۝٢٠۝قاٰلَ خُذْهاٰ وَلاٰ تَخَفْۖ سَنُعٖیدُهاٰ سٖیرَتَهَا الْاُولٰی۝٢١۝وَاضْمُمْ یَدَكَ اِلٰی جَناٰحِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَیْضآٰءَ مِنْ غَیْرِ سُوٓءٍ ءاٰیَةً اُخْرٰی۝٢٢۝لِنُرِیَكَ مِنْ ءاٰیاٰتِنَا الْكُبْرٰی۝٢٣۝ٱِذْهَبْ اِلٰی فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّهُۥ طَغٰی۝٢٤۝قاٰلَ رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لٖی صَدْرٖی۝٢٥۝وَیَسِّرْ لٖیٓ اَمْرٖی۝٢٦۝وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِساٰنٖی۝٢٧۝یَفْقَهُوا قَوْلٖی۝٢٨۝وَاجْعَلْ لٖی وَزٖیرًا مِنْ اَهْلٖی۝٢٩۝هاٰرُونَ اَخٖی۝٣٠۝ٱُشْدُدْ بِهٖٓ اَزْرٖی۝٣١۝وَاَشْرِكْهُ فٖیٓ اَمْرٖی۝٣٢۝كَیْ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثٖیرًا۝٣٣۝وَنَذْكُرَكَ كَثٖیرًا۝٣٤۝اِنَّكَ كُنْتَ بِناٰ بَصٖیرًا۝٣٥۝قاٰلَ قَدْ اُوتٖیتَ سُؤْلَكَ یاٰ مُوسٰی۝٣٦۝وَلَقَدْ مَنَنّاٰ عَلَیْكَ مَرَّةً اُخْرٰٓی۝٣٧۝اِذْ اَوْحَیْنآٰ اِلٰٓی اُمِّكَ ماٰ یُوحٰٓی۝٣٨۝اَنِ اقْذِفٖیهِ فِی التّاٰبُوتِ فَاقْذِفٖیهِ فِی الْیَمِّ فَلْیُلْقِهِ الْیَمُّ بِالسّاٰحِلِ یَأْخُذْهُ عَدُوٌّ لٖی وَعَدُوٌّ لَهُۥۚ وَاَلْقَیْتُ عَلَیْكَ مَحَبَّةً مِنّٖی وَلِتُصْنَعَ عَلٰی عَیْنٖیٓ۝٣٩۝اِذْ تَمْشٖیٓ اُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ اَدُلُّكُمْ عَلٰی مَنْ یَكْفُلُهُۥۖ فَرَجَعْناٰكَ اِلٰٓی اُمِّكَ كَیْ تَقَرَّ عَیْنُهاٰ وَلاٰ تَحْزَنَۚ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّیْناٰكَ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَفَتَنّاٰكَ فُتُونًاۚ فَلَبِثْتَ سِنٖینَ فٖیٓ اَهْلِ مَدْیَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلٰی قَدَرٍ یاٰ مُوسٰی۝٤٠۝وَاصْطَنَعْتُكَ لِنَفْسٖی۝٤١۝ٱِذْهَبْ اَنْتَ وَاَخُوكَ بِأٰیاٰتٖی وَلاٰ تَنِیاٰ فٖی ذِكْرٖی۝٤٢۝ٱِذْهَبآٰ اِلٰی فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّهُۥ طَغٰی۝٤٣۝فَقُولاٰ لَهُۥ قَوْلًا لَیِّنًا لَعَلَّهُۥ یَتَذَكَّرُ اَوْ یَخْشٰی۝٤٤۝قاٰلاٰ رَبَّنآٰ اِنَّناٰ نَخاٰفُ اَنْ یَفْرُطَ عَلَیْنآٰ اَوْ اَنْ یَطْغٰی۝٤٥۝قاٰلَ لاٰ تَخاٰفآٰۖ اِنَّنٖی مَعَكُمآٰ اَسْمَعُ وَاَرٰی۝٤٦۝فَأْتِیاٰهُ فَقُولآٰ اِنّاٰ رَسُولاٰ رَبِّكَ فَاَرْسِلْ مَعَناٰ بَنٖیٓ اِسْرآٰئٖیلَ وَلاٰ تُعَذِّبْهُمْۖ قَدْ جِئْناٰكَ بأٰیَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكَۖ وَالسَّلاٰمُ عَلٰی مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الْهُدٰٓی۝٤٧۝اِنّاٰ قَدْ اُوحِیَ اِلَیْنآٰ اَنَّ الْعَذاٰبَ عَلٰی مَنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰی۝٤٨۝قاٰلَ فَمَنْ رَبُّكُماٰ یاٰمُوسٰی۝٤٩۝قاٰلَ رَبُّنَا الَّذٖیٓ اَعْطٰی كُلَّ شَیْءٍ خَلْقَهُۥ ثُمَّ هَدٰی۝٥٠۝قاٰلَ فَماٰ باٰلُ الْقُرُونِ الْاُولٰی۝٥١۝قاٰلَ عِلْمُهاٰ عِنْدَ رَبّٖی فٖی كِتاٰبٍۖ لاٰ یَضِلُّ رَبّٖی وَلاٰ یَنْسٰی۝٥٢۝ٱَلَّذٖی جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَسَلَكَ لَكُمْ فٖیهاٰ سُبُلًا وَاَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمآٰءِ مآٰءً فَاَخْرَجْناٰ بِهٖٓ اَزْواٰجًا مِنْ نَباٰتٍ شَتّٰی۝٥٣۝كُلُوا وَارْعَوْا اَنْعاٰمَكُمْۗ اِنَّ فٖی ذٰلِكَ لَءاٰیاٰتٍ لِاُولِی النُّهٰی۝٥٤۝مِنْهاٰ خَلَقْناٰكُمْ وَفٖیهاٰ نُعٖیدُكُمْ وَمِنْهاٰ نُخْرِجُكُمْ تاٰرَةً اُخْرٰی۝٥٥۝وَلَقَدْ اَرَیْناٰهُ ءاٰیاٰتِناٰ كُلَّهاٰ فَكَذَّبَ وَاَبٰی۝٥٦۝قاٰلَ اَجِئْتَناٰ لِتُخْرِجَناٰ مِنْ اَرْضِناٰ بِسِحْرِكَ یاٰمُوسٰی۝٥٧۝فَلَنَأْتِیَنَّكَ بِسِحْرٍ مِثْلِهٖ فَاجْعَلْ بَیْنَناٰ وَبَیْنَكَ مَوْعِدًا لاٰ نُخْلِفُهُۥ نَحْنُ وَلآٰ اَنْتَ مَكاٰنًا سُوًی۝٥٨۝قاٰلَ مَوْعِدُكُمْ یَوْمُ الزّٖینَةِ وَاَنْ یُحْشَرَ النّاٰسُ ضُحًی۝٥٩۝فَتَوَلّٰی فِرْعَوْنُ فَجَمَعَ كَیْدَهُۥ ثُمَّ اَتٰی۝٦٠۝قاٰلَ لَهُمْ مُوسٰی وَیْلَكُمْ لاٰ تَفْتَرُوا عَلَی اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا فَیُسْحِتَكُمْ بِعَذاٰبٍۖ وَقَدْ خاٰبَ مَنِ افْتَرٰی۝٦١۝فَتَناٰزَعُوٓا اَمْرَهُمْ بَیْنَهُمْ وَاَسَرُّوا النَّجْوٰی۝٦٢۝قاٰلُوٓا اِنْ هٰذاٰنِ لَساٰحِراٰنِ یُرٖیداٰنِ اَنْ یُخْرِجاٰكُمْ مِنْ اَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِماٰ وَیَذْهَباٰ بِطَرٖیقَتِكُمُ الْمُثْلٰی۝٦٣۝فَاَجْمِعُوا كَیْدَكُمْ ثُمَّ ائْتُوا صَفًّاۚ وَقَدْ اَفْلَحَ الْیَوْمَ مَنِ اسْتَعْلٰی۝٦٤۝قاٰلُوا یاٰمُوسٰٓی اِمّآٰ اَنْ تُلْقِیَ وَاِمّآٰ اَنْ نَكُونَ اَوَّلَ مَنْ اَلْقٰی۝٦٥۝قاٰلَ بَلْ اَلْقُواۖ فَاِذاٰ حِباٰلُهُمْ وَعِصِیُّهُمْ یُخَیَّلُ اِلَیْهِ مِنْ سِحْرِهِمْ اَنَّهاٰ تَسْعٰی۝٦٦۝فَاَوْجَسَ فٖی نَفْسِهٖ خٖیفَةً مُوسٰی۝٦٧۝قُلْناٰ لاٰ تَخَفْ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْاَعْلٰی۝٦٨۝وَاَلْقِ ماٰ فٖی یَمٖینِكَ تَلْقَفْ ماٰ صَنَعُوٓاۖ اِنَّماٰ صَنَعُوا كَیْدُ ساٰحِرٍۖ وَلاٰ یُفْلِحُ السّاٰحِرُ حَیْثُ اَتٰی۝٦٩۝فَاُلْقِیَ السَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًا قاٰلُوٓا ءاٰمَنّاٰ بِرَبِّ هاٰرُونَ وَمُوسٰی۝٧٠۝قاٰلَ ءاٰمَنْتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ اَنْ ءاٰذَنَ لَكُمْۖ اِنَّهُۥ لَكَبٖیرُكُمُ الَّذٖی عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَۖ فَلَاُقَطِّعَنَّ اَیْدِیَكُمْ وَاَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلاٰفٍ وَلَاُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ فٖی جُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ اَیُّنآٰ اَشَدُّ عَذاٰبًا وَاَبْقٰی۝٧١۝قاٰلُوا لَنْ نُؤْثِرَكَ عَلٰی ماٰ جآٰءَناٰ مِنَ الْبَیِّناٰتِ وَالَّذٖی فَطَرَناٰۖ فَاقْضِ مآٰ اَنْتَ قاٰضٍۖ اِنَّماٰ تَقْضٖی هٰذِهِ الْحَیٰوةَ الدُّنْیآٰ۝٧٢۝اِنّآٰ ءاٰمَنّاٰ بِرَبِّناٰ لِیَغْفِرَ لَناٰ خَطاٰیاٰناٰ وَمآٰ اَكْرَهْتَناٰ عَلَیْهِ مِنَ السِّحْرِۗ وَاللّٰهُ خَیْرٌ وَاَبْقٰٓی۝٧٣۝اِنَّهُۥ مَنْ یَأْتِ رَبَّهُۥ مُجْرِمًا فَاِنَّ لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ لاٰ یَمُوتُ فٖیهاٰ وَلاٰ یَحْیٰی۝٧٤۝وَمَنْ یَأْتِهٖ مُؤْمِنًا قَدْ عَمِلَ الصّاٰلِحاٰتِ فَاُولٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ الدَّرَجاٰتُ الْعُلٰی۝٧٥۝جَنّاٰتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرٖی مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهاٰرُ خاٰلِدٖینَ فٖیهاٰۚ وَذٰلِكَ جَزآٰءُ مَنْ تَزَكّٰی۝٧٦۝وَلَقَدْ اَوْحَیْنآٰ اِلٰی مُوسٰٓی اَنْ اَسْرِ بِعِباٰدٖی فَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ طَرٖیقًا فِی الْبَحْرِ یَبَسًا لاٰ تَخاٰفُ دَرَكًا وَلاٰ تَخْشٰی۝٧٧۝فَاَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهٖ فَغَشِیَهُمْ مِنَ الْیَمِّ ماٰ غَشِیَهُمْ۝٧٨۝وَاَضَلَّ فِرْعَوْنُ قَوْمَهُۥ وَماٰ هَدٰی۝٧٩۝یاٰبَنٖیٓ اِسْرآٰئٖیلَ قَدْ اَنْجَیْناٰكُمْ مِنْ عَدُوِّكُمْ وَواٰعَدْناٰكُمْ جاٰنِبَ الطُّورِ الْاَیْمَنَ وَنَزَّلْناٰ عَلَیْكُمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوٰی۝٨٠۝كُلُوا مِنْ طَیِّباٰتِ ماٰ رَزَقْناٰكُمْ وَلاٰ تَطْغَوْا فٖیهِ فَیَحِلَّ عَلَیْكُمْ غَضَبٖیۖ وَمَنْ یَحْلِلْ عَلَیْهِ غَضَبٖی فَقَدْ هَوٰی۝٨١۝وَاِنّٖی لَغَفّاٰرٌ لِمَنْ تاٰبَ وَءاٰمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صاٰلِحًا ثُمَّ اهْتَدٰی۝٨٢۝

Surah Ta-HaMakiha135In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. Ta Ha! ﴾1﴿We did not send down to you the Quran that you should be miserable, ﴾2﴿but only as an admonition to him who fears [his Lord]. ﴾3﴿A sending down [of the Revelation] from Him who created the earth and the lofty heavens ﴾4﴿—the All-beneficent, settled on the Throne. ﴾5﴿To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever is between them, and whatever is under the ground. ﴾6﴿Whether you speak loudly [or in secret tones,] He indeed knows the secret and what is still more hidden. ﴾7﴿Allah—there is no god except Him—to Him belong the Best Names. ﴾8﴿Did the story of Moses come to you, ﴾9﴿when he sighted a fire, and said to his family, ‘Wait! Indeed, I descry a fire! Maybe I will bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire.’ ﴾10﴿So when he came to it, he was called, ‘O Moses! ﴾11﴿Indeed I am your Lord! So take off your sandals. You are indeed in the sacred valley of Tuwa. ﴾12﴿I have chosen you; so listen to what is revealed. ﴾13﴿Indeed I am Allah—there is no god except Me. So worship Me, and maintain the prayer for My remembrance. ﴾14﴿Indeed the Hour is bound to come: I will have it hidden, so that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. ﴾15﴿So do not let yourself be distracted from it by those who do not believe in it and who follow their desires, or you will perish.’ ﴾16﴿‘Moses, what is that in your right hand?’ ﴾17﴿He said, ‘It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and I have other uses for it.’ ﴾18﴿He said, ‘Moses, throw it down.’ ﴾19﴿So he threw it down, and behold, it was a snake, moving swiftly. ﴾20﴿He said, ‘Take hold of it, and do not fear. We will restore it to its former state. ﴾21﴿Now clasp your hand to your armpit: it will emerge white, without any harm—[this is yet] another sign, ﴾22﴿that We may show you some of Our great signs. ﴾23﴿Go to Pharaoh. He has indeed rebelled.’ ﴾24﴿He said, ‘My Lord! Open my breast for me. ﴾25﴿Make my task easy for me. ﴾26﴿Remove the hitch from my tongue, ﴾27﴿[so that] they may understand my speech. ﴾28﴿Appoint for me a minister from my family, ﴾29﴿Aaron, my brother. ﴾30﴿Strengthen my back through him, ﴾31﴿and make him my associate in my task, ﴾32﴿so that we may glorify You greatly, ﴾33﴿and remember You greatly. ﴾34﴿Indeed You see us best.’ ﴾35﴿He said, ‘Moses, your request has been granted! ﴾36﴿Certainly, We have done you a favour another time, ﴾37﴿when We revealed to your mother whatever was to be revealed: ﴾38﴿“Put him in the casket, and cast it into the river. Then the river will cast it on the bank, and he shall be picked up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his.” And I made you endearing, and that you might be reared under My [watchful] eyes. ﴾39﴿When your sister walked up [to Pharaoh’s palace] saying, “Shall I show you someone who will take care of him?” Then We restored you to your mother, that she might not grieve and be comforted. Then you slew a soul, whereupon We delivered you from anguish, and We tried you with various ordeals. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian. Then you turned up as ordained, O Moses! ﴾40﴿And I chose you for Myself.’ ﴾41﴿‘Go ahead, you and your brother, with My signs and do not flag in My remembrance. ﴾42﴿Both of you go to Pharaoh, for he has indeed rebelled. ﴾43﴿Speak to him in a soft manner; maybe he will take admonition or fear.’ ﴾44﴿They said, ‘Our Lord! We are indeed afraid that he will forestall us or will exceed all bounds.’ ﴾45﴿He said, ‘Do not be afraid, for I will be with the two of you, hearing and seeing [whatever happens]. ﴾46﴿So approach him and say, ‘‘We are the apostles of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not torture them! We certainly bring you a sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon him who follows guidance! ﴾47﴿Indeed it has been revealed to us that punishment shall befall those who impugn us and turn their backs [on us].’’ ’ ﴾48﴿He said, ‘Who is your Lord, Moses?’ ﴾49﴿He said, ‘Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation and then guided it.’ ﴾50﴿He said, ‘What about the former generations?’ ﴾51﴿He said, ‘Their knowledge is with my Lord, in a Book. My Lord neither makes any error nor forgets.’ ﴾52﴿He, who made the earth for you a cradle, and in it threaded for you ways, and sent down water from the sky, and with it We brought forth various kinds of vegetation. ﴾53﴿‘Eat and pasture your cattle.’ There are indeed signs in that for those who have sense. ﴾54﴿From it did We create you, into it shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you forth another time. ﴾55﴿Certainly We showed him all Our signs. But he denied [them] and refused [to believe them]. ﴾56﴿He said, ‘Moses, have you come to us to expel us from our land with your magic? ﴾57﴿Yet we [too] will bring you a magic like it! So fix a tryst between us and you, which neither we shall fail nor you, at a middle place.’ ﴾58﴿He said, ‘Your tryst shall be the Day of Adornment, and let the people be assembled in early forenoon.’ ﴾59﴿Then Pharaoh withdrew [to consult privately], summoned up his guile, and then arrived [at the scene of the contest]. ﴾60﴿Moses said to them, ‘Woe to you! Do not fabricate lies against Allah, or He will obliterate you with a punishment. Whoever fabricates lies certainly fails.’ ﴾61﴿So they disputed their matter among themselves, and kept their confidential talks secret. ﴾62﴿They said, ‘These two are indeed magicians who intend to expel you from your land with their magic, and to abolish your excellent tradition! ﴾63﴿So summon up your ingenuity, then come in ranks. Today he who has the upper hand will be felicitous!’ ﴾64﴿They said, ‘O Moses! Will you throw first, or shall we?’ ﴾65﴿He said, ‘No, you throw first.’ Thereupon, behold, their ropes and staffs appeared to him by their magic to wriggle swiftly. ﴾66﴿Then Moses felt a fear within his heart. ﴾67﴿We said, ‘Do not be afraid. Indeed, you will have the upper hand. ﴾68﴿Throw down what is in your right hand, and it will swallow what they have conjured. What they have conjured is only a magician’s trick, and the magician does not fare well wherever he may show up.’ ﴾69﴿Thereat the magicians fell down prostrating. They said, ‘We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses!’ ﴾70﴿He said, ‘Did you believe in him before I should permit you? He is indeed your chief who has taught you magic! Surely, I will cut off your hands and feet from opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will know which of us can inflict a severer and more lasting punishment.’ ﴾71﴿They said, ‘We will never prefer you to the clear proofs which have come to us, and to Him who originated us. Decide whatever you want to decide. You can only decide about the life of this world. ﴾72﴿We have indeed believed in our Lord that He may forgive us our offences and the magic you compelled us to perform. Allah is better and more lasting.’ ﴾73﴿Whoever comes to his Lord laden with guilt, for him shall be hell, where he will neither live nor die. ﴾74﴿But whoever comes to Him with faith and he has done righteous deeds, for such shall be the highest ranks ﴾75﴿—the Gardens of Eden, with streams running in them, to abide in them [forever], and that is the reward of him who keeps pure. ﴾76﴿We revealed to Moses, [saying], ‘Set out with My servants at night, and strike out for them a dry path through the sea. Do not be afraid of being overtaken, and have no fear [of getting drowned]. ﴾77﴿Then Pharaoh pursued them with his troops, whereat they were engulfed by what engulfed them of the sea. ﴾78﴿Pharaoh led his people astray and did not guide them. ﴾79﴿O Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, and We appointed with you a tryst on the right side of the Mount and We sent down to you manna and quails: ﴾80﴿‘Eat of the good things We have provided you, but do not overstep the bounds therein, lest My wrath should descend on you, and he on whom My wrath descends certainly perishes. ﴾81﴿Indeed I forgive those who repent, become faithful, act righteously, and follow guidance.’ ﴾82﴿
