وَاِذاٰ صُرِفَتْ اَبْصاٰرُهُمْ تِلْقآٰءَ اَصْحاٰبِ النّاٰرِ قاٰلُوا رَبَّناٰ لاٰ تَجْعَلْناٰ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ۝٤٧۝وَناٰدٰٓی اَصْحاٰبُ الْاَعْراٰفِ رِجاٰلًا یَعْرِفُونَهُمْ بِسٖیماٰهُمْ قاٰلُوا مآٰ اَغْنٰی عَنْكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَماٰ كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ۝٤٨۝اَهٰٓؤُلآٰءِ الَّذٖینَ اَقْسَمْتُمْ لاٰ یَناٰلُهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِرَحْمَةٍۚ ٱُدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ لاٰ خَوْفٌ عَلَیْكُمْ وَلآٰ اَنْتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ۝٤٩۝وَناٰدٰٓی اَصْحاٰبُ النّاٰرِ اَصْحاٰبَ الْجَنَّةِ اَنْ اَفٖیضُوا عَلَیْناٰ مِنَ الْمآٰءِ اَوْ مِمّاٰ رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُۚ قاٰلُوٓا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ حَرَّمَهُماٰ عَلَی الْكاٰفِرٖینَ۝٥٠۝ٱَلَّذٖینَ اتَّخَذُوا دٖینَهُمْ لَهْوًا وَلَعِبًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَیٰوةُ الدُّنْیاٰۚ فَالْیَوْمَ نَنْسٰىهُمْ كَماٰ نَسُوا لِقآٰءَ یَوْمِهِمْ هٰذاٰ وَماٰ كاٰنُوا بِأٰیاٰتِناٰ یَجْحَدُونَ۝٥١۝وَلَقَدْ جِئْناٰهُمْ بِكِتاٰبٍ فَصَّلْناٰهُ عَلٰی عِلْمٍ هُدًی وَرَحْمَةً لِقَوْمٍ یُؤْمِنُونَ۝٥٢۝هَلْ یَنْظُرُونَ اِلّاٰ تَأْوٖیلَهُۥۚ یَوْمَ یَأْتٖی تَأْوٖیلُهُۥ یَقُولُ الَّذٖینَ نَسُوهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ قَدْ جآٰءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّناٰ بِالْحَقِّ فَهَلْ لَناٰ مِنْ شُفَعآٰءَ فَیَشْفَعُوا لَنآٰ اَوْ نُرَدُّ فَنَعْمَلَ غَیْرَ الَّذٖی كُنّاٰ نَعْمَلُۚ قَدْ خَسِرُوٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ماٰ كاٰنُوا یَفْتَرُونَ۝٥٣۝اِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذٖی خَلَقَ السَّمٰواٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ فٖی سِتَّةِ اَیّاٰمٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰی عَلَی الْعَرْشِ یُغْشِی الَّیْلَ النَّهاٰرَ یَطْلُبُهُۥ حَثٖیثًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّراٰتٍ بِاَمْرِهٖٓۗ اَلاٰ لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْاَمْرُۗ تَباٰرَكَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعاٰلَمٖینَ۝٥٤۝ٱُدْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْیَةًۚ اِنَّهُۥ لاٰ یُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدٖینَ۝٥٥۝وَلاٰ تُفْسِدُوا فِی الْاَرْضِ بَعْدَ اِصْلاٰحِهاٰ وَادْعُوهُ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًاۚ اِنَّ رَحْمَتَ اللّٰهِ قَرٖیبٌ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنٖینَ۝٥٦۝وَهُوَ الَّذٖی یُرْسِلُ الرِّیاٰحَ بُشْرًا بَیْنَ یَدَیْ رَحْمَتِهٖۖ حَتّٰٓی اِذآٰ اَقَلَّتْ سَحاٰبًا ثِقاٰلًا سُقْناٰهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَیِّتٍ فَاَنْزَلْناٰ بِهِ الْمآٰءَ فَاَخْرَجْناٰ بِهٖ مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَراٰتِۚ كَذٰلِكَ نُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتٰی لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ۝٥٧۝وَالْبَلَدُ الطَّیِّبُ یَخْرُجُ نَباٰتُهُۥ بِاِذْنِ رَبِّهٖۖ وَالَّذٖی خَبُثَ لاٰ یَخْرُجُ اِلّاٰ نَكِدًاۚ كَذٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْءاٰیاٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ یَشْكُرُونَ۝٥٨۝لَقَدْ اَرْسَلْناٰ نُوحًا اِلٰی قَوْمِهٖ فَقاٰلَ یاٰ قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ ماٰ لَكُمْ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ غَیْرُهُۥٓ اِنّٖیٓ اَخاٰفُ عَلَیْكُمْ عَذاٰبَ یَوْمٍ عَظٖیمٍ۝٥٩۝قاٰلَ الْمَلَاُ مِنْ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِنّاٰ لَنَرٰىكَ فٖی ضَلاٰلٍ مُبٖینٍ۝٦٠۝قاٰلَ یاٰ قَوْمِ لَیْسَ بٖی ضَلاٰلَةٌ وَلٰكِنّٖی رَسُولٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعاٰلَمٖینَ۝٦١۝اُبَلِّغُكُمْ رِساٰلاٰتِ رَبّٖی وَاَنْصَحُ لَكُمْ وَاَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ ماٰ لاٰ تَعْلَمُونَ۝٦٢۝اَوَعَجِبْتُمْ اَنْ جآٰءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَلٰی رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ لِیُنْذِرَكُمْ وَلِتَتَّقُوا وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ۝٦٣۝فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَاَنْجَیْناٰهُ وَالَّذٖینَ مَعَهُۥ فِی الْفُلْكِ وَاَغْرَقْنَا الَّذٖینَ كَذَّبُوا بِأٰیاٰتِنآٰۚ اِنَّهُمْ كاٰنُوا قَوْمًا عَمٖینَ۝٦٤۝وَاِلٰی عاٰدٍ اَخاٰهُمْ هُودًاۚ قاٰلَ یاٰ قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ ماٰ لَكُمْ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ غَیْرُهُۥٓۚ اَفَلاٰ تَتَّقُونَ۝٦٥۝قاٰلَ الْمَلَاُ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِنّاٰ لَنَرٰىكَ فٖی سَفاٰهَةٍ وَاِنّاٰ لَنَظُنُّكَ مِنَ الْكاٰذِبٖینَ۝٦٦۝قاٰلَ یاٰ قَوْمِ لَیْسَ بٖی سَفاٰهَةٌ وَلٰكِنّٖی رَسُولٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعاٰلَمٖینَ۝٦٧۝اُبَلِّغُكُمْ رِساٰلاٰتِ رَبّٖی وَاَنَا لَكُمْ ناٰصِحٌ اَمٖینٌ۝٦٨۝اَوَعَجِبْتُمْ اَنْ جآٰءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَلٰی رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ لِیُنْذِرَكُمْۚ وَاذْكُرُوٓا اِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفآٰءَ مِنْ بَعْدِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَزاٰدَكُمْ فِی الْخَلْقِ بَصۜۡطَةًۖ فَاذْكُرُوٓا ءاٰلآٰءَ اللّٰهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ۝٦٩۝قاٰلُوٓا اَجِئْتَناٰ لِنَعْبُدَ اللّٰهَ وَحْدَهُۥ وَنَذَرَ ماٰ كاٰنَ یَعْبُدُ ءاٰبآٰؤُناٰۖ فَأْتِناٰ بِماٰ تَعِدُنآٰ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّاٰدِقٖینَ۝٧٠۝قاٰلَ قَدْ وَقَعَ عَلَیْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ رِجْسٌ وَغَضَبٌۖ اَتُجاٰدِلُونَنٖی فٖیٓ اَسْمآٰءٍ سَمَّیْتُمُوهآٰ اَنْتُمْ وَءاٰبآٰؤُكُمْ ماٰ نَزَّلَ اللّٰهُ بِهاٰ مِنْ سُلْطاٰنٍۚ فَانْتَظِرُوٓا اِنّٖی مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُنْتَظِرٖینَ۝٧١۝فَاَنْجَیْناٰهُ وَالَّذٖینَ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنّاٰ وَقَطَعْناٰ داٰبِرَ الَّذٖینَ كَذَّبُوا بِأٰیاٰتِناٰۖ وَماٰ كاٰنُوا مُؤْمِنٖینَ۝٧٢۝وَاِلٰی ثَمُودَ اَخاٰهُمْ صاٰلِحًاۗ قاٰلَ یاٰ قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ ماٰ لَكُمْ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ غَیْرُهُۥۖ قَدْ جآٰءَتْكُمْ بَیِّنَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْۖ هٰذِهٖ ناٰقَةُ اللّٰهِ لَكُمْ ءاٰیَةًۖ فَذَرُوهاٰ تَأْكُلْ فٖیٓ اَرْضِ اللّٰهِۖ وَلاٰ تَمَسُّوهاٰ بِسُوٓءٍ فَیَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذاٰبٌ اَلٖیمٌ۝٧٣۝وَاذْكُرُوٓا اِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفآٰءَ مِنْ بَعْدِ عاٰدٍ وَبَوَّاَكُمْ فِی الْاَرْضِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْ سُهُولِهاٰ قُصُورًا وَتَنْحِتُونَ الْجِباٰلَ بُیُوتًاۖ فَاذْكُرُوٓا ءاٰلآٰءَ اللّٰهِ وَلاٰ تَعْثَوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ مُفْسِدٖینَ۝٧٤۝قاٰلَ الْمَلَاُ الَّذٖینَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهٖ لِلَّذٖینَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِمَنْ ءاٰمَنَ مِنْهُمْ اَتَعْلَمُونَ اَنَّ صاٰلِحًا مُرْسَلٌ مِنْ رَبِّهٖۚ قاٰلُوٓا اِنّاٰ بِمآٰ اُرْسِلَ بِهٖ مُؤْمِنُونَ۝٧٥۝قاٰلَ الَّذٖینَ اسْتَكْبَرُوٓا اِنّاٰ بِالَّذٖیٓ ءاٰمَنْتُمْ بِهٖ كاٰفِرُونَ۝٧٦۝فَعَقَرُوا النّاٰقَةَ وَعَتَوْا عَنْ اَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقاٰلُوا یاٰ صاٰلِحُ ائْتِناٰ بِماٰ تَعِدُنآٰ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلٖینَ۝٧٧۝فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَاَصْبَحُوا فٖی داٰرِهِمْ جاٰثِمٖینَ۝٧٨۝فَتَوَلّٰی عَنْهُمْ وَقاٰلَ یاٰ قَوْمِ لَقَدْ اَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِساٰلَةَ رَبّٖی وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ وَلٰكِنْ لاٰ تُحِبُّونَ النّاٰصِحٖینَ۝٧٩۝وَلُوطًا اِذْ قاٰلَ لِقَوْمِهٖٓ اَتَأْتُونَ الْفاٰحِشَةَ ماٰ سَبَقَكُمْ بِهاٰ مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِنَ الْعاٰلَمٖینَ۝٨٠۝اِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجاٰلَ شَهْوَةً مِنْ دُونِ النِّسآٰءِۚ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُسْرِفُونَ۝٨١۝وَماٰ كاٰنَ جَواٰبَ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِلّآٰ اَنْ قاٰلُوٓا اَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ قَرْیَتِكُمْۖ اِنَّهُمْ اُناٰسٌ یَتَطَهَّرُونَ۝٨٢۝فَاَنْجَیْناٰهُ وَاَهْلَهُۥٓ اِلَّا امْرَاَتَهُۥ كاٰنَتْ مِنَ الْغاٰبِرٖینَ۝٨٣۝وَاَمْطَرْناٰ عَلَیْهِمْ مَطَرًاۖ فَانْظُرْ كَیْفَ كاٰنَ عاٰقِبَةُ الْمُجْرِمٖینَ۝٨٤۝وَاِلٰی مَدْیَنَ اَخاٰهُمْ شُعَیْبًاۗ قاٰلَ یاٰ قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ ماٰ لَكُمْ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ غَیْرُهُۥۖ قَدْ جآٰءَتْكُمْ بَیِّنَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْۖ فَاَوْفُوا الْكَیْلَ وَالْمٖیزاٰنَ وَلاٰ تَبْخَسُوا النّاٰسَ اَشْیآٰءَهُمْ وَلاٰ تُفْسِدُوا فِی الْاَرْضِ بَعْدَ اِصْلاٰحِهاٰۚ ذٰلِكُمْ خَیْرٌ لَكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنٖینَ۝٨٥۝وَلاٰ تَقْعُدُوا بِكُلِّ صِراٰطٍ تُوعِدُونَ وَتَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبٖیلِ اللّٰهِ مَنْ ءاٰمَنَ بِهٖ وَتَبْغُونَهاٰ عِوَجًاۚ وَاذْكُرُوٓا اِذْ كُنْتُمْ قَلٖیلًا فَكَثَّرَكُمْۖ وَانْظُرُوا كَیْفَ كاٰنَ عاٰقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدٖینَ۝٨٦۝وَاِنْ كاٰنَ طآٰئِفَةٌ مِنْكُمْ ءاٰمَنُوا بِالَّذٖیٓ اُرْسِلْتُ بِهٖ وَطآٰئِفَةٌ لَمْ یُؤْمِنُوا فَاصْبِرُوا حَتّٰی یَحْكُمَ اللّٰهُ بَیْنَناٰۚ وَهُوَ خَیْرُ الْحاٰكِمٖینَ۝٨٧۝

 And when their look is turned toward the inmates of the Fire, they will say, ‘Our Lord, do not put us among the wrongdoing lot!’) ﴾47﴿The occupants of the Elevations will call out to certain men whom they recognize by their marks, ‘Your rallying did not avail you, nor what you used to disdain. ﴾48﴿Are these the ones concerning whom you swore that Allah will not extend them any mercy?’ ‘Enter paradise! You shall have no fear, nor shall you grieve.’ ﴾49﴿The inmates of the Fire will call out to the inhabitants of paradise, ‘Pour on us some water, or something of what Allah has provided you.’ They will say, ‘Allah has indeed forbidden these two to the faithless!’ ﴾50﴿Those who took their religion for diversion and play and whom the life of the world had deceived. So today, We will forget them as they forgot the encounter of this day of theirs, and as they used to impugn Our signs. ﴾51﴿Certainly We have brought them a Book, which We have elaborated with knowledge, as a guidance and mercy for a people who have faith. ﴾52﴿Do they not consider [the consequences of] its fulfillment? The day when its fulfillment comes, those who had forgotten it before will say, ‘Our Lord’s apostles had certainly brought the truth. If only we had some intercessors to intercede for us, or we would be returned, so that we may do differently from what we did!’ They have certainly ruined their souls, and what they used to fabricate has forsaken them. ﴾53﴿Indeed your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and then settled on the Throne. He draws the night’s cover over the day, which pursues it swiftly, and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, [all of them] disposed by His command. Look! All creation and command belong to Him. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. ﴾54﴿Supplicate your Lord, beseechingly and secretly. Indeed, He does not like the transgressors. ﴾55﴿And do not cause corruption on the earth after its restoration, and supplicate Him with fear and hope: indeed Allah’s mercy is close to the virtuous. ﴾56﴿It is He who sends forth the winds as harbingers of His mercy. When they bear [rain-] laden clouds, We drive them toward a dead land and send down water on it, and with it We bring forth all kinds of crops. Thus shall We raise the dead; maybe you will take admonition. ﴾57﴿The good land—its vegetation comes out by the permission of its Lord, and as for that which is bad, it does not come out except sparsely. Thus do We paraphrase the signs variously for a people who give thanks. ﴾58﴿Certainly We sent Noah to his people. He said, ‘O my people, worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. Indeed I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day.’ ﴾59﴿The elite of his people said, ‘Indeed we see you in manifest error.’ ﴾60﴿He said, ‘O my people, I am not in error. Rather, I am an apostle from the Lord of all the worlds. ﴾61﴿I communicate to you the messages of my Lord, and I am your well-wisher, and I know from Allah what you do not know. ﴾62﴿Do you consider it odd that a reminder from your Lord should come to you through a man from among yourselves, to warn you so that you may be Godwary and so that you may receive His mercy?’ ﴾63﴿But they denied him. So We delivered him and those who were with him in the ark, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a blind lot. ﴾64﴿And to [the people of] ‘Ad [We sent] Hud, their brother. He said, ‘O my people, worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. Will you not then be wary [of Him]?’ ﴾65﴿The elite of his people who were faithless said, ‘Indeed we see you to be in folly, and indeed we consider you to be a liar.’ ﴾66﴿He said, ‘O my people, I am not in folly. Rather, I am an apostle from the Lord of all the worlds. ﴾67﴿I communicate to you the messages of my Lord and I am a trustworthy well-wisher for you. ﴾68﴿Do you consider it odd that there should come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among yourselves, so that he may warn you? Remember when He made you successors after the people of Noah, and increased you vastly in creation. So remember Allah’s bounties so that you may be felicitous.’ ﴾69﴿They said, ‘Have you come to [tell] us that we should worship Allah alone and abandon what our fathers have been worshiping? Then bring us what you threaten us with, should you be truthful.’ ﴾70﴿He said, ‘Punishment and wrath from your Lord has become due against you. Do you dispute with me regarding names, which you have named—you and your fathers—for which Allah has not sent down any authority? So wait! I too am waiting along with you.’ ﴾71﴿Then We delivered him and those who were with him by a mercy from Us, and We rooted out those who denied Our signs and were not faithful. ﴾72﴿And to [the people of] Thamud [We sent] Salih, their brother. He said, ‘O my people, worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. There has certainly come to you a manifest proof from your Lord. This she-camel of Allah is a sign for you. Let her alone to graze [freely] in Allah’s land, and do not cause her any harm, for then you shall be seized by a painful punishment. ﴾73﴿Remember when He made you successors after [the people of] ‘Ad, and settled you in the land: you build palaces in its plains, and hew houses out of the mountains. So remember Allah’s bounties, and do not act wickedly on the earth, causing corruption.’ ﴾74﴿The elite of his people who were arrogant said to those who were oppressed—to those among them who had faith—‘Do you know that Salih has been sent by his Lord?’ They said, ‘We indeed believe in what he has been sent with.’ ﴾75﴿Those who were arrogant said, ‘We indeed disbelieve in what you have believed.’ ﴾76﴿So they hamstrung the She-camel and defied the command of their Lord, and they said, ‘O Salih, bring us what you threaten us with, if you are one of the apostles.’ ﴾77﴿Thereupon the earthquake seized them, and they lay lifeless prostrate in their homes. ﴾78﴿So he abandoned them [to their fate], and said, ‘O my people! Certainly I communicated to you the message of my Lord, and I was your well-wisher, but you did not like well-wishers.’ ﴾79﴿And Lot, when he said to his people, ‘What! Do you commit an outrage none in the world ever committed before you?! ﴾80﴿Indeed you come to men with desire instead of women! Indeed, you are a profligate lot.’ ﴾81﴿But the only answer of his people was that they said, ‘Expel them from your town! They are indeed a puritanical lot.’ ﴾82﴿Thereupon We delivered him and his family, except his wife; she was one of those who remained behind. ﴾83﴿Then We poured down upon them a rain [of stones]. So observe how was the fate of the guilty! ﴾84﴿And to [the people of] Midian [We sent] Shu‘ayb, their brother. He said, ‘O my people, worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. There has certainly come to you a manifest proof from your Lord. Observe fully the measure and the balance, and do not cheat the people of their goods, and do not cause corruption on the earth after its restoration. That is better for you, if you are faithful. ﴾85﴿And do not lie in wait on every road to threaten and bar those who have faith in Him from the way of Allah, seeking to make it crooked. Remember when you were few, and He multiplied you, and observe how was the fate of the agents of corruption. ﴾86﴿If a group of you have believed in what I have been sent with, and a group have not believed, be patient until Allah judges between us, and He is the best of judges.’ ﴾87﴿
