إِنَّكُمْ فِي آجَالٍ مَنْقُوصَةٍ وَ أَيَّامٍ مَعْدُودَةٍ وَ اَلْمَوْتُ يَأْتِي بَغْتَةً مَنْ يَزْرَعْ خَيْراً يَحْصُدْ غِبْطَةً وَ مَنْ يَزْرَعْ شَرّاً يَحْصُدْ نَدَامَةً لِكُلِّ زَارِعٍ مَا زَرَعَ لاَ يُسْبَقُ بَطِي ءٌ بِحَظِّهِ وَ لاَ يُدْرِكُ حَرِيصٌ مَا لَمْ يُقَدَّرْ لَهُ مَنْ أُعْطِيَ خَيْراً فَاللَّهُ أَعْطَاهُ وَ مَنْ وُقِيَ شَرّاً فَاللَّهُ وَقَاهُ. Indeed, your lives are shortened and your days are numbered, and death comes suddenly. Whoever sows good will reap joy, and whoever sows evil will reap regret. To every sower is what he has sown. No slow one is deprived of his share, and no greedy person attains what was not decreed for him. Whoever is given good, then Allah has given him; and whoever is protected from evil, then Allah has protected him.
