فَلَمّآٰ اَحَسَّ عٖیسٰی مِنْهُمُ الْكُفْرَ قاٰلَ مَنْ اَنْصاٰرٖیٓ اِلَی اللّٰهِۖ قاٰلَ الْحَواٰرِیُّونَ نَحْنُ اَنْصاٰرُ اللّٰهِ ءاٰمَنّاٰ بِاللّٰهِ وَاشْهَدْ بِاَنّاٰ مُسْلِمُونَ۝٥٢۝رَبَّنآٰ ءاٰمَنّاٰ بِمآٰ اَنْزَلْتَ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فَاكْتُبْناٰ مَعَ الشّاٰهِدٖینَ۝٥٣۝وَمَكَرُوا وَمَكَرَ اللّٰهُۖ وَاللّٰهُ خَیْرُ الْماٰكِرٖینَ۝٥٤۝اِذْ قاٰلَ اللّٰهُ یاٰ عٖیسٰٓی اِنّٖی مُتَوَفّٖیكَ وَراٰفِعُكَ اِلَیَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا وَجاٰعِلُ الَّذٖینَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوٓا اِلٰی یَوْمِ الْقِیاٰمَةِۖ ثُمَّ اِلَیَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَاَحْكُمُ بَیْنَكُمْ فٖیماٰ كُنْتُمْ فٖیهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ۝٥٥۝فَاَمَّا الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا فَاُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذاٰبًا شَدٖیدًا فِی الدُّنْیاٰ وَالْءاٰخِرَةِ وَماٰ لَهُمْ مِنْ ناٰصِرٖینَ۝٥٦۝وَاَمَّا الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّاٰلِحاٰتِ فَیُوَفّٖیهِمْ اُجُورَهُمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ لاٰ یُحِبُّ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ۝٥٧۝ذٰلِكَ نَتْلُوهُ عَلَیْكَ مِنَ الْءاٰیاٰتِ وَالذِّكْرِ الْحَكٖیمِ۝٥٨۝اِنَّ مَثَلَ عٖیسٰی عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ كَمَثَلِ ءاٰدَمَۖ خَلَقَهُۥ مِنْ تُراٰبٍ ثُمَّ قاٰلَ لَهُۥ كُنْ فَیَكُونُ۝٥٩۝ٱَلْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ فَلاٰ تَكُنْ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرٖینَ۝٦٠۝فَمَنْ حآٰجَّكَ فٖیهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ ماٰ جآٰءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعاٰلَوْا نَدْعُ اَبْنآٰءَناٰ وَاَبْنآٰءَكُمْ وَنِسآٰءَناٰ وَنِسآٰءَكُمْ وَاَنْفُسَناٰ وَاَنْفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَلْ لَعْنَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَی الْكاٰذِبٖینَ۝٦١۝اِنَّ هٰذاٰ لَهُوَ الْقَصَصُ الْحَقُّۚ وَماٰ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ اِلَّا اللّٰهُۚ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَهُوَ الْعَزٖیزُ الْحَكٖیمُ۝٦٢۝فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٖیمٌ بِالْمُفْسِدٖینَ۝٦٣۝قُلْ یآٰ اَهْلَ الْكِتاٰبِ تَعاٰلَوْا اِلٰی كَلِمَةٍ سَوآٰءٍ بَیْنَناٰ وَبَیْنَكُمْ اَلّاٰ نَعْبُدَ اِلَّا اللّٰهَ وَلاٰ نُشْرِكَ بِهٖ شَیْئًا وَلاٰ یَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُناٰ بَعْضًا اَرْباٰبًا مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِۚ فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُولُوا اشْهَدُوا بِاَنّاٰ مُسْلِمُونَ۝٦٤۝یآٰ اَهْلَ الْكِتاٰبِ لِمَ تُحآٰجُّونَ فٖیٓ اِبْراٰهٖیمَ وَمآٰ اُنْزِلَتِ التَّوْرٰىةُ وَالْاِنْجٖیلُ اِلّاٰ مِنْ بَعْدِهٖٓۚ اَفَلاٰ تَعْقِلُونَ۝٦٥۝هآٰاَنْتُمْ هٰٓؤُلآٰءِ حاٰجَجْتُمْ فٖیماٰ لَكُمْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ فَلِمَ تُحآٰجُّونَ فٖیماٰ لَیْسَ لَكُمْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌۚ وَاللّٰهُ یَعْلَمُ وَاَنْتُمْ لاٰ تَعْلَمُونَ۝٦٦۝ماٰ كاٰنَ اِبْراٰهٖیمُ یَهُودِیًّا وَلاٰ نَصْراٰنِیًّا وَلٰكِنْ كاٰنَ حَنٖیفًا مُسْلِمًا وَماٰ كاٰنَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكٖینَ۝٦٧۝اِنَّ اَوْلَی النّاٰسِ بِاِبْراٰهٖیمَ لَلَّذٖینَ اتَّبَعُوهُ وَهٰذَا النَّبِیُّ وَالَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُواۗ وَاللّٰهُ وَلِیُّ الْمُؤْمِنٖینَ۝٦٨۝وَدَّتْ طآٰئِفَةٌ مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتاٰبِ لَوْ یُضِلُّونَكُمْ وَماٰ یُضِلُّونَ اِلّآٰ اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَماٰ یَشْعُرُونَ۝٦٩۝یآٰ اَهْلَ الْكِتاٰبِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِأٰیاٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَاَنْتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ۝٧٠۝یآٰ اَهْلَ الْكِتاٰبِ لِمَ تَلْبِسُونَ الْحَقَّ بِالْباٰطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُونَ الْحَقَّ وَاَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ۝٧١۝وَقاٰلَتْ طآٰئِفَةٌ مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتاٰبِ ءاٰمِنُوا بِالَّذٖیٓ اُنْزِلَ عَلَی الَّذٖینَ ءاٰمَنُوا وَجْهَ النَّهاٰرِ وَاكْفُرُوٓا ءاٰخِرَهُۥ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَرْجِعُونَ۝٧٢۝وَلاٰ تُؤْمِنُوٓا اِلّاٰ لِمَنْ تَبِعَ دٖینَكُمْ قُلْ اِنَّ الْهُدٰی هُدَی اللّٰهِ اَنْ یُؤْتٰٓی اَحَدٌ مِثْلَ مآٰ اُوتٖیتُمْ اَوْ یُحآٰجُّوكُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْۗ قُلْ اِنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِیَدِ اللّٰهِ یُؤْتٖیهِ مَنْ یَشآٰءُۗ وَاللّٰهُ واٰسِعٌ عَلٖیمٌ۝٧٣۝یَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهٖ مَنْ یَشآٰءُۗ وَاللّٰهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظٖیمِ۝٧٤۝وَمِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتاٰبِ مَنْ اِنْ تَأْمَنْهُ بِقِنْطاٰرٍ یُؤَدِّهٖٓ اِلَیْكَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ اِنْ تَأْمَنْهُ بِدٖیناٰرٍ لاٰ یُؤَدِّهٖٓ اِلَیْكَ اِلّاٰ ماٰ دُمْتَ عَلَیْهِ قآٰئِمًاۗ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ قاٰلُوا لَیْسَ عَلَیْناٰ فِی الْاُمِّیّٖینَ سَبٖیلٌ وَیَقُولُونَ عَلَی اللّٰهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ یَعْلَمُونَ۝٧٥۝بَلٰیۚ مَنْ اَوْفٰی بِعَهْدِهٖ وَاتَّقٰی فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ یُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقٖینَ۝٧٦۝اِنَّ الَّذٖینَ یَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللّٰهِ وَاَیْماٰنِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلٖیلًا اُولٰٓئِكَ لاٰ خَلاٰقَ لَهُمْ فِی الْءاٰخِرَةِ وَلاٰ یُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللّٰهُ وَلاٰ یَنْظُرُ اِلَیْهِمْ یَوْمَ الْقِیاٰمَةِ وَلاٰ یُزَكّٖیهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذاٰبٌ اَلٖیمٌ۝٧٧۝وَاِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرٖیقًا یَلْوُۥنَ اَلْسِنَتَهُمْ بِالْكِتاٰبِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ الْكِتاٰبِ وَماٰ هُوَ مِنَ الْكِتاٰبِ وَیَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ وَماٰ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ وَیَقُولُونَ عَلَی اللّٰهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ یَعْلَمُونَ۝٧٨۝ماٰ كاٰنَ لِبَشَرٍ اَنْ یُؤْتِیَهُ اللّٰهُ الْكِتاٰبَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ یَقُولَ لِلنّاٰسِ كُونُوا عِباٰدًا لٖی مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ وَلٰكِنْ كُونُوا رَبّاٰنِیّٖینَ بِماٰ كُنْتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ الْكِتاٰبَ وَبِماٰ كُنْتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ۝٧٩۝وَلاٰ یَأْمُرَكُمْ اَنْ تَتَّخِذُوا الْمَلآٰئِكَةَ وَالنَّبِیّٖینَ اَرْباٰبًاۗ اَیَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ اِذْ اَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ۝٨٠۝وَاِذْ اَخَذَ اللّٰهُ مٖیثاٰقَ النَّبِیّٖینَ لَمآٰ ءاٰتَیْتُكُمْ مِنْ كِتاٰبٍ وَحِكْمَةٍ ثُمَّ جآٰءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مُصَدِّقٌ لِماٰ مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهٖ وَلَتَنْصُرُنَّهُۥۚ قاٰلَ ءَاَقْرَرْتُمْ وَاَخَذْتُمْ عَلٰی ذٰلِكُمْ اِصْرٖیۖ قاٰلُوٓا اَقْرَرْناٰۚ قاٰلَ فَاشْهَدُوا وَاَنَا مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الشّاٰهِدٖینَ۝٨١۝فَمَنْ تَوَلّٰی بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْفاٰسِقُونَ۝٨٢۝اَفَغَیْرَ دٖینِ اللّٰهِ یَبْغُونَ وَلَهُۥٓ اَسْلَمَ مَنْ فِی السَّمٰواٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَاِلَیْهِ یُرْجَعُونَ۝٨٣۝قُلْ ءاٰمَنّاٰ بِاللّٰهِ وَمآٰ اُنْزِلَ عَلَیْناٰ وَمآٰ اُنْزِلَ عَلٰٓی اِبْراٰهٖیمَ وَاِسْماٰعٖیلَ وَاِسْحاٰقَ وَیَعْقُوبَ وَالْاَسْباٰطِ وَمآٰ اُوتِیَ مُوسٰی وَعٖیسٰی وَالنَّبِیُّونَ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ لاٰ نُفَرِّقُ بَیْنَ اَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ مُسْلِمُونَ۝٨٤۝وَمَنْ یَبْتَغِ غَیْرَ الْاِسْلاٰمِ دٖینًا فَلَنْ یُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِی الْءاٰخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخاٰسِرٖینَ۝٨٥۝كَیْفَ یَهْدِی اللّٰهُ قَوْمًا كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ اٖیماٰنِهِمْ وَشَهِدُوٓا اَنَّ الرَّسُولَ حَقٌّ وَجآٰءَهُمُ الْبَیِّناٰتُۚ وَاللّٰهُ لاٰ یَهْدِی الْقَوْمَ الظّاٰلِمٖینَ۝٨٦۝اُولٰٓئِكَ جَزآٰؤُهُمْ اَنَّ عَلَیْهِمْ لَعْنَةَ اللّٰهِ وَالْمَلآٰئِكَةِ وَالنّاٰسِ اَجْمَعٖینَ۝٨٧۝خاٰلِدٖینَ فٖیهاٰ لاٰ یُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذاٰبُ وَلاٰ هُمْ یُنْظَرُونَ۝٨٨۝اِلَّا الَّذٖینَ تاٰبُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَ وَاَصْلَحُوا فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُورٌ رَحٖیمٌ۝٨٩۝اِنَّ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ اٖیماٰنِهِمْ ثُمَّ ازْداٰدُوا كُفْرًا لَنْ تُقْبَلَ تَوْبَتُهُمْ وَاُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الضّآٰلُّونَ۝٩٠۝اِنَّ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا وَماٰتُوا وَهُمْ كُفّاٰرٌ فَلَنْ یُقْبَلَ مِنْ اَحَدِهِمْ مِلْءُ الْاَرْضِ ذَهَبًا وَلَوِ افْتَدٰی بِهٖٓۗ اُولٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذاٰبٌ اَلٖیمٌ وَماٰ لَهُمْ مِنْ ناٰصِرٖینَ۝٩١۝لَنْ تَناٰلُوا الْبِرَّ حَتّٰی تُنْفِقُوا مِمّاٰ تُحِبُّونَۚ وَماٰ تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ شَیْءٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِهٖ عَلٖیمٌ۝٩٢۝

 When Jesus sensed their faithlessness, he said, ‘Who will be my helpers [on the path] toward Allah?’ The Disciples said, ‘We will be helpers of Allah. We have faith in Allah, and you be witness that we have submitted [to Him]. ﴾52﴿Our Lord, we believe in what You have sent down, and we follow the apostle, so write us among the witnesses.’ ﴾53﴿Then they plotted [against Jesus], and Allah also devised, and Allah is the best of devisers. ﴾54﴿When Allah said, ‘O Jesus, I shall take you[r soul], and I shall raise you up toward Myself, and I shall clear you of [the calumnies of] the faithless, and I shall set those who follow you above the faithless until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me will be your return, whereat I will judge between you concerning that about which you used to differ. ﴾55﴿As for the faithless, I will punish them with a severe punishment in the world and the Hereafter; and they will have no helpers.’ ﴾56﴿But as for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, He will pay them in full their rewards, and Allah does not like the wrongdoers. ﴾57﴿These that We recite to you are from the signs and the Wise Reminder. ﴾58﴿Indeed the case of Jesus with Allah is like the case of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, ‘Be,’ and he was. ﴾59﴿This is the truth from your Lord, so do not be among the skeptics. ﴾60﴿Should anyone argue with you concerning him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, ‘Come! Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, our souls and your souls, then let us pray earnestly, and call down Allah’s curse upon the liars.’ ﴾61﴿This is indeed the true account, for sure. There is no god but Allah, and indeed Allah is the All-mighty, the All-wise. ﴾62﴿But if they turn away, indeed Allah knows best the agents of corruption. ﴾63﴿Say, ‘O People of the Book! Come to a common word between us and you: that we will worship no one but Allah, that we will not ascribe any partner to Him, and that some of us will not take some others as lords besides Allah.’ But if they turn away, say, ‘Be witnesses that we have submitted [to Allah].’ ﴾64﴿O People of the Book! Why do you argue concerning Abraham? Neither the Torah nor the Evangel were sent down until [long] after him. Do you not exercise your reason? ﴾65﴿Ah! You are the very ones who argue about that of which you have knowledge. But why do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows and you do not know. ﴾66﴿Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian. Rather, he was a Hanif, a Muslim, and he was not one of the polytheists. ﴾67﴿Indeed the nearest of all people to Abraham are those who follow him and this prophet and those who have faith, and Allah is the guardian of the faithful. ﴾68﴿A group of the People of the Book were eager to lead you astray; yet they lead no one astray except themselves, but they are not aware. ﴾69﴿O People of the Book! Why do you deny Allah’s signs while you testify [to their truth]? ﴾70﴿O People of the Book! Why do you mix the truth with falsehood, and conceal the truth while you know [it]? ﴾71﴿A group of the People of the Book say, ‘Believe in what has been sent down to the faithful at the beginning of the day, and disbelieve at its end, so that they may turn back [from their religion].’ ﴾72﴿And [they say,] ‘Do not believe anyone except him who follows your religion.’ Say, ‘Indeed [true] guidance is the guidance of Allah.’ [They also say.] ‘[Do not believe] that anyone may be given the like of what you were given, or that he may argue with you before your Lord.’ Say, ‘Indeed all grace is in Allah’s hand; He grants it to whomever He wishes, and Allah is all-bounteous, all-knowing. ﴾73﴿He singles out for His mercy whomever He wishes, and Allah is dispenser of a great grace.’ ﴾74﴿Among the People of the Book is he who if you entrust him with a quintal will repay it to you, and among them is he who, if you entrust him with a dinar will not repay it to you unless you stand persistently over him. That is because they say, ‘We have no obligation to the non-Jews.’ But they attribute lies to Allah, and they know [it]. ﴾75﴿Yes, whoever fulfills his commitments and is wary of Allah—Allah indeed loves the Godwary. ﴾76﴿There shall be no share in the Hereafter for those who sell Allah’s covenant and their oaths for a paltry gain, and on the Day of Resurrection Allah will not speak to them nor will He [so much as] look at them, nor will He purify them, and there is a painful punishment for them. ﴾77﴿There is a group of them who alter their voice while reading out a text [that they have themselves authored], so that you may suppose it to be from the Book, though it is not from the Book, and they say, ‘It is from Allah,’ though it is not from Allah, and they attribute lies to Allah, and they know [it]. ﴾78﴿It does not behoove any human that Allah should give him the Book, judgement and prophethood, and then he should say to the people, ‘Be my servants instead of Allah.’ Rather [he would say], ‘Be a godly people, because of your teaching the Book and because of your studying it.’ ﴾79﴿And he would not command you to take the angels and the prophets for lords. Would he call you to unfaith after you have submitted [to Allah]? ﴾80﴿When Allah took a compact concerning the prophets, [He said,] ‘Inasmuch as I have given you [the knowledge] of the Book and wisdom, should an apostle come to you thereafter confirming what is with you, you shall believe in him and help him.’ He said, ‘Do you pledge and accept My covenant on this condition?’ They said, ‘We pledge.’ He said, ‘Then be witnesses, and I, too, am among the witnesses along with you.’ ﴾81﴿Then whoever turns away after that—it is they who are the transgressors. ﴾82﴿Do they seek a religion other than that of Allah, while to Him submits whoever there is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they will be brought back? ﴾83﴿Say, ‘We have faith in Allah and in what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and that which Moses, Jesus and the prophets were given by their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him do we submit.’ ﴾84﴿Should anyone follow a religion other than Islam, it shall never be accepted from him, and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter. ﴾85﴿How shall Allah guide a people who have disbelieved after their faith and [after] bearing witness that the Apostle is true, and [after] manifest proofs had come to them? Allah does not guide the wrongdoing lot. ﴾86﴿Their requital is that there shall be upon them the curse of Allah, the angels, and all mankind. ﴾87﴿They will remain in it [forever], and their punishment will not be lightened, nor will they be granted any respite, ﴾88﴿except such as repent after that and make amends, for Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful. ﴾89﴿Indeed those who turn faithless after their faith, and then advance in faithlessness, their repentance will never be accepted, and it is they who are the astray. ﴾90﴿Indeed those who turn faithless and die while they are faithless, a world of gold will not be accepted from any of them should he offer it for ransom. For such there will be a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers. ﴾91﴿You will never attain piety until you spend out of what you hold dear, and whatever you may spend of anything, Allah indeed knows it. ﴾92﴿
